  • I expect that Far Cry 3 to be sold out pretty soon.

This is just referral link spamming.. Zavvi always have an 80% off sale and the prices are often not that special.

Oh and I didn't get my last order from them at all.

    • No one has to use the referral link.. in fact i can remove it if i have broken any rules.
The 5% off for a new customer was why i offered it.

My orders always arrive quickly, saying that however i have one that has still not arrived and it was shipped May 20th

        • Have contacted a MOD to see if its allowed as the guidelines say yes then they say no.

        • Its ok apparently :) Moderator has marked as Affiliate deal

It's against rules to have the main/direct link with affiliation. Reported. Please remove, and add line at end of main text with affiliate link (clearly marking as such). Negging deal as prices are generally higher than Zavvi has offered recently, and higher than Amazon UK has recently had, including shipping (e.g. Alien collection).

Edited and MOD said my post was within guidelines
and he updated it with Affiliate link

The min link is not an affiliate link.. i have posted the code needed if someone wishes to use it to register and get the 5%

the link used was cut and pasted from their website directly

        • The main link is not affiliated. Affiliate links in the description are allowed and is now marked so. The original affil=thegemail in the link I believe is the way Zavvi marks it links between channels.

          Please use report in future.

Agreed, zavvi won't get any business from me until I get my money back

My last two orders have gone AWOL from Zavvi. They have became very unreliable, I no longer shop there. I'd rather pay a few bucks more on an order and know I will receive it soon from Ozgameshop, beatthebomb or Amazon.

        • Yes me too- item never arrived and they don't seem to care about re-sending it.

      • My last order didn't show up, contacted support and they sent another straight away.

  • Arrested Development Seasons 1-3 for ~ $26 is an excellent deal http://www.zavvi.com/dvd/arrested-development-season-1-3/100…

    • fallen across the board, probably due to the new series. Is about the same in the US too.

zavvi isn't that bad. I haven't run in to too much trouble with my orders with them so far. I just wish their prices are more competitive especially with the newer games.

    • It's been more recently they've become unreliable. Between me and 2 mates and 4 orders, 3 have gone missing in the last month.

If you want reliable and pretty cheap (and don't mind Asian versions too much) check out Mariio128.com although what they stock in the last few months has become a little crappy in its selection which is a shame.

My recent orders have all arrived safely. Although 1 blu-ray arrived a week after the other one, even though apparently it was dispatched a day early.

Some of their lego is competitively priced and shipping at 99p is a bargain.

  • Also zavvi is a good alternative to The Hut if you use a PO BOX. I ordered some trunks from them because The Hut wouldn't let me put PO BOX as shipping address. And the item was identical, same price. They shipped it the next day I think. This happened this week.

Its the same store pretty much.

      • Both stores have always posted to my PO Box. I only ever have mail sent there.

  • Is this a different sale to the 80% off email that they send out each week?

    • The weekly one is the Mad Monday sale i think…. this is similar i suppose, but i did notice a few things i bought recently are much cheaper than the usual monday pricing.. and in some cases cheaper than i paid

I like Zavvi too. I used to use them a lot more than I do now because they haven't really changed the stuff they are offering cheap for about 6 months. They need to mix it up more, its always the usual Alien/ Bourne/ LotR boxes etc. In saying that, their "80% off" isn't a deal, its just their normal prices accompanied by an annoying email they send out every week.

  • I've also stopped buying form them because of missing orders

After chasing them down for ages.. I couldn't even get a reship… only a refund.. which excluded the postage..

In all I was done the postage and conversions fees.. well over $5.. and no game to show..

They have always been slow.. but eventually good turn up.. except for the last few orders… so I've given up on them now.. It just isn't worth the trouble anymore.

International mail theft is rife. I've never bought from Zavvi, but they're probably another company who splash thier branding all over postage boxes.

      • Been buying from them for 3 years or so and never had a problem until recently. Something is going on for so many packages to go missing.

I've stopped buying from them completely because of it.

My moment of Zavvi madness came when I attempted to put through an order in November in time for Xmas. After several attempts to pay by Paypal it didn't work. They eventually sent an email to say that they would need to cancel my order. Bugger. Fortunately I was able to make the order through another company.
Good news from Zavvi four weeks later - a fairly random email informing me that my the issue with Paypal was sorted and my order was on its way to me.
What!!!!!! I rang them and they said …. oh - we only said we will need to cancel your order - we didn't actually cancel your order. But if you send it back to us we'll refund your money.
      Just madness.

  • Every week they have so called "80% OFF Sale" on Blu-Rays, DVDs, etc. So there is no bargain in this post. And most of the movies mentioned by the OP have been cheaper.
