Saw the portable moon chairs @ Target for $7 at Westfield Doncaster Target store. They are on clearance. Black or Navy blue available. Plenty of them about midday today. Not sure if this is a good price, but $7 is not bad.

They do look similar. I guess if its not safe, Target should take them off shelf rather than put them on clearance.
The legs on the recall models are different to this one, so the lock mechanism would probably be different, too.
Saw these in local Target recently… did not look very strong at all.
