    real shame this does not do duplex - otherwise it would be perfect for me…

    Does this unit have ethernet?, couldn't see it in the specs.

      Yes, all model numbers of brother printers end with "N" means they have ethernet capability, but only cable - not wireless LAN (it ends with "W" in that case).

      Seems the onlin reviews were only OK with this printer; actually a bit negative on the quality of colour printouts; but I would say we cannot expect too much on that price range, it's still a well-featured printer - duplex is pretty much the only drawback I suppose.

    I wonder if this would be more reliable than our Fuji Xerox M205b. I'm looking for a replacement.

    The Fuji Xerox was cheap but is absolute garbage. Frequent paper jams, regularly in completely inaccessible places. Covers don't come off so the entire thing has to be dismantled to remove some jams. Worked well for a few months then went downhill quickly.

    I've had very good results and reliability with Brother printers before, but that was 15 years ago so things may have changed since then!
