Kogan 32" smart LED TV $239 plus shipping

Been keeping my eye out for this to go on sale for a while now. It's listed as presale right now and will ship on the 2nd of July - a while away but this is as cheap as I've ever seen it.

There are some other things on sale on their site at Kogan

This is my first post, sorry if anything's out of norm

d00d dse had FHD 32s for $199 delivered… not smart tv i grant you but you can fix that with a android stick from dealextreme (not during 50% off though)

        HD is so passe

Don't do it for this resolution - you'll be kicking yourself wishing you paid more for a FHD TV.

        • Is that still available by any chance? I might pick one up at that price.

I would agree if your using this as a computer screen or viewing at a meter or less. Otherwise there should be little difference. The dot pitch, which is what really matters, is higher than my full hd 50 incher.

        • The DSE TV I saw was twice the thickness of the Kogan. Thickness could be an issue if mounting on a wall.

JB also have the Sonic refurbs with similar specs to the Kogan

    • So not "full" HD 1920×1080 … Is that correct?

Would not it have been better for Kogan to make "full" HD … or do they, and this is yet to come?

I don't know whether to purchase or not as yet.

Looking for bedroom tv, for son, no access to digital antenna (rented premises) but wifi signal is good.

      Any suggestions?

      Thank you.

  • good price but 32" is not what it use to be nowadays! its way too small! have one in my bedroom and just doesn't cut it anymore!
I think the minimum size now is about a 39\40" for a standard bedroom!

    • that really depends on how big your bedroom is. for a small apartment, it's a good size.

so, size matters in the bedroom?

        • sure it does

chicks dig my 50" tricky dick set i'm sure b00tyman agrees

        • yeeehaa!
          lol

so, size matters in the bedroom?

          And performance !

they no use having the size if the (and i quote) "TV" cant perform

    • Bedroom? I was going to put this in the bathroom or toilet..

Ah Kogan! Advertised as Presale, but… Was $369.00 Save $130.00

    • Actually TV been around for a while. Kogan in trouble 6 months ago for stating it was full HD. Presale just means you have to wait until the next shipment.

Sounds like Kogan have given up with their "LivePrice" and now just do a Presale.

Add a car battery & lead & you get a 32" Android Tablet (almost - no touch screen) operating on ICS for $239 + about $20 shipping ;)

The future in advanced portability. And incredible battery life!

      • and as technology improves things will only get bigger and more cumbersome.

  • Limit of 3 per customer - there is a ship coming fully loaded!

  • Can anyone comment on the quality of Kogan tvs in comparison to some other cheap brand like Soniq or Hisense?

Mine have been fine (I have three Kogans, 19", 32" and 3D 55"), but the models change so often, not sure how they compare now.

My Samsung (6 series, new) was twice the price but 5 times better, especially when you count the smart tv and networking functions. My LG is probably twice as good (as the Kogan but the LG is 5 years old), especially the user interface of the PVR.

I have not used it, but I would not trust the Smart TV functions of the Kogan.

And if you are good at maths, yes I have a lot of TVs (and I still also have 2 CRTs - still love my CRT Loewe)

Any opinions from the people who got it last time?

  • Can this tv play mkv files?
