Well yes, you are right that the review is out of date, but since the conclusion is that the place is comprehensively awful, The Age are unlikely to have re-reviewed it. So the review is useful in the sense that it shows everyone that it was utterly shit 8 years ago and is unlikely to be much better without a radical full-concept makeover and price reduction by at least 50%.
Having been there a number of times for one reason or another … That review was and IS about right…
I went there once. The food was okay, but the place tends to overcharge for lot of their offerings. Things like mineral waters, coffee, alcoholic beverages. But at 19.90 dollars for one, i think it is a great deal.

I thought it was a good deal(bought 4) until:
1. I read the fine print on the bottom AFTER booking…must be use at same time. Damn, I wanted to go there twice not using all the vouchers at the same time.
2. Surcharge!!
3. Alarm bells ring when I read the rest of menu….not valid with any other offers blah blah….so the $50 voucher is just useless!Only good deal if buying this lobster tail alone. Otherwise just a marketing thing to lure the customers in for the other over price items.
Just used my vouchers recently, the lobster tail came with seafood rice. It's quite full as the rice is extremely salty so I drank a lot of water! and you must ask for your $50 credit for each voucher you used, otherwise they wouldnt give them to you! I think the owner has changed and this promotion is for the changing hands!!! Avoid the Asian waiter, not sure if he is the owner but was very rude when we told him we had vouchers and I didnt order much extras like sparkling water, chips, salads, etc… Dont want to be ripped off further by them!

good deal but shit i hate "transaction surcharges" that arent clearly advised when you go through the check out 3% is added.
