It's the same crappy plastic "PVC Leather" as the cases I've previously had from eBay sellers - just with a "MercuryAV" brand melted into it. I'm expecting this one to last just as short a time as they did.
I'm amazed that an Australian business is allowed to sell these, with packaging and advertising claiming unambiguously that it's made of "leather". Perhaps that's why they're throwing them out for $1.
It was a tolerably mediocre cover for the $3 or whatever I paid for the last few on eBay. So I guess that makes it a tolerably mediocre cover for $1.
If I'd paid $20+ for it, I'd be going straight to ACCC and hitting them up for misleading advertising. For $1, I'm just annoyed that I bothered going out of my way for it.
