Meh on eBay it's only $859 with apple warranty… Mobilecity is more likely to be grey import, same goes with Kogan.
Comes with a tax invoice though.. so maybe not.

Price will be the same. Most likely the phone will too. It's expected to be 5S not 6. Not much changed from 4 to 4S besides Siri, going from 4S to 5, they added a dual core CPU and an extra row of apps..
4S was a dual core, camera and siri upgrade really. 5 was the smaller upgrade as it was only screen size bump and a little bit of software which came to all the devices anyway.
Its not worth paying this much when they will drop the 5's price down to $500-600 odd when the 5s gets announced in the coming 2-3 months.
Ah of course. You meant buy the 5 when it gets superceded. I thought you meant wait to buy a 5S, which would have been the same price and not too different (any software changes will be applied to older phone).
Personally, I think if you're spending 900 to 1000 on an unlocked iPhone you're wasting your money. If you want one of these, get a $60 plan. It's hard to justify such a high price tag for what you're getting.

You use your phone like 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. Some people see that as a reason not to be cheap. If you see different, that's your opinion, but it certainly isn't something to get all arrogant about.
You miss the point. A phone is obviously important but why not consider the Samsung, HTC or even Sony (which are cheaper and better) if you want a premium phone instead of paying close to $1000 for an APPLE?? The company is milking the iphone series dry, making minor changes to their new models knowing people like you will fall for it.
I refuse to be like a drone, I always research goods I want and make sure I get every bang for the buck if I need to pay good money for it. If they want to do business with me, they better make it worth it, I want to see the effort and a refined product not rehashing of the same thing.

There are cheap phones and expensive phones. You buy the one that best fits what you need/want in the price range you can afford. It's not hard.
Not advocating one phone over another, but your comment is a bit silly, sorry. There is merit to wanting an iphone over an android, but "not needing to make a choice" is a dumb reason.
Just say that some people prefer one over the other, or they're used to using it for 5 years and they want something familiar.
@jackthefrost, get over yourself jerk. I've used (owned) devices that have run Gingerbread, ICS and Jellybean over the years and I read reviews for pretty much every major phone release (regardless of OS). I always comeback to jailbroken iOS. Freedom of having root, with the design and quality of Apple.
