  I tend to use my usb devices week to week. will this still work with such devices?

  arent most usb cables either male on one end and then mini a or b on the other for the device, OR, male - female to be used as an extension cord. To be able to use the adaptor above, you would need a male to male usb cable, which to the best of my knowledge, isn't very common, making this adaptor as useful as a left handed hammer or striped paint. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    just an elaborate OTG cable- i would think. (micro-USB charge cable + Joiner = OTG )
