This is the first I have seen of a Lenovo cell phone!
Doesn't appear to have the rugged build quality that their laptops are renowned for.
Might not seem like an ultra deal with the ultimate DX deals over the past few days but take it for what it's worth.

Ha! These Chinese knock-offs have funny names.
OK specs. Big question is what is the real-world battery life?
Sensor: Gravity Sensor,
Wow! Whoever invented that will be getting a Nobel prize for redefining physics. Most phones only have an accelerometer.
The lack of 850 or 900MHz 3G makes it not much of a bargain.
I haven't before seen a phone without either 850 or 900 support, does anyone know if this support can be unlocked through installation of a cooked ROM?
Seems like the THL W8 sold at $115 was still a better deal (kind of S3 level), this is kind of S2 level
More like S1.5, S2 has 1GB of RAM
would seem a bit a down grade from my acer-liquid-mt, while we all know the age of that phone.
2100 MHzWhat does "supports W+G / G+G" mean? Is it how it handles incoming calls?
dual sim: WCDMA+2G or 2G+2G simultaneously
yair unless you're on VodaPuss networks™, it looks to be two gens behind in terms of 'G' tech.
Doesn't appear to have the rugged build quality that their laptops are renowned for.
Lenovo is not known for rugged build quality! IBM was, when they built they designed laptops, lenovo if anything continued the downward trend IBM were starting just before selling to Lenovo.
Indeed, Lenovo have never been known for anything that would invoke the words build and quality in the same page of text.
absolutely correct. Lenovo, rugged? quality?
Not a great phone but for the price, quite impressive I think.
EDIT: Wait, it kinda needs 850,900Mhz 3G doesn't it? I will retract my +1
I like the phone but dislike the store selling it (one bad experience last year). Your experience may vary with this store; I'll just leave it at that.
use MICHAL141 to get 5% off price to US$128.81
I reckon these 2 are better value:
http://www.merimobiles.com/zte-v955-3g-wcdma-android4-0-dual… (512MB RAM)
http://www.merimobiles.com/ZTE_V970_3G_WCDMA_Android4_0_Dual… (1GB RAM)Similar specification but it supports Optus 900mhz as well.
Just a BIG FAT WARNING to whoever is thinking of buying a Chinese phone — always check XDA forums to see if custom ROMS exist from the modding community. These china phones ship without Google play preinstalled (no GAPPS) and have limited functionality in Australia. They certainly won't be of any use until you root them and flash them with a GAPP zip file.
If you do not see any sign of modding for the phone, you should probably try a more popular model.
Meh. 2100mhz wcdma only.
