  • Has anybody used one of these? What is the scan quality like compared to a traditional flatbed scanner?

  • What is the difference between this one compared to a $40 one on ebay?

    • +2

      Including postage difference is $42.

    • I think this is still a feed-through scanner for single pages maximum A4 and the cheap ebay scanners you swipe down a page. Also, the Brother brand is quite well known in printers and scanners.

  • Good if you're specifically looking for this model. But I'd probably opt for a cheaper one, Aldi recently had one for $35 which seems similar. $82 still seems like a lot to pay for 1 page feeding, but to be fair I guess it's purpose is for those 2 or 3 pages rather than 20-30 page requirements, even though their official youtube video speaks of reducing an entire desk of clutter (thousands of pages) to digital copies… I don't think so! :)

Good deal but it's a no from me.

  • Good concept for on the road warriors and I bought one of those on ebay they can work on batteries stand alone (no computer needed to scan) so is more conveninet. Only problem with those is the scan comes in faily large size if you choose high resolution even on PDF settings, not sure how large the file in this one for a high resolution settings (low res is quite useless to me). would be interested if it is capable of scanning multiple pages combined in to one file at reasobaly high res with minimum size…..any idea OP or anyone else to the sizes of this scanner. for excample my HP3055p (AIO scanner) at home can scan 40 PDF pages and still be only like total 3MB documents with good reasonable resolutions to reprint (I can even adjust size and resolutions as I wish), so will this be capable on decent sizes as I end up with like 18MB with the ebay ones for 40 pages of docs, even one page at a time feeding it is fine provided the size can be managed better for emailing on the run???
