Actually, not that great a camera, my Canon IXUS 220HS has better picture & video quality…, raw samples of these were no biggie, no wonder its on clearance, but why did it cost 3x more than mine in the first place, zoom…? lol O.o

TBH, I can stand a little drop in image quality (often happens with large zoom lens anyway) in exchanged for the other features; external flash, viewfinder, tiltable screen, (possibly) lens filters can be added, and of course, the large zoom.
Poor image quality is only visible when you have something better to compare it too ;)
Also, does anybody know if the 'free bluetooth headset for orders over $150' was meant to show in the cart, or will it just magically appear when/if the order arrives?

Yup, they have the same sensor, but they have different image processors, the SX40 has a DIGIC 5 and mine has a DIGIC 4, my raw images and 1080p video clips are noticeably clearer, and it cost me $189(pricematched $240~) 2 years ago, this still costs a ridiculous $550-600+ at most places…, get a SLR I say !
But this is NOT $550-$600, and if you can find a decent SLR with comparable zoom to what this provides for $222.75, I'm sure you'd have the highest voted post ever. lol

I was referring to every other place that currently sells this @ nearly $600…, as DSE will not have more than 10 of these, what does this have to do with votes ?, all of this is just my opinion… lol
