    Just bought the iPhone 5 version / lightning port (full price given there isn't much choice at the moment), this is a good dock, good sound. This is the not the lightning version so only buy if you have iPhone 3 or 4

          Where did you get that info from?

          If you buy an authentic Apple adapter the audio will work. I have one myself.

          Since the iPhone 5 came out, all adapters charge only. Unless the last month or so its been rectified? If so I will get my dock out of the cupboard again.

          Footnotes says it supports some devices with audio. I guess it's luck of the draw.
