Was heading to Target Watergardens to savage the phone (HTC and Nokia Lumia) deals to no avail, I spotted these cheap Telstra usb modem for $14.83 which is quite a good price just for the data pack alone, still 2 left I think, the sim pack expire in 2015 so plenty of time to use. The modem is ZTE MF668A

In the next cupboard they also have the Vodafone usb modem pack bundled with $20 iTunes card for only $9.83 but none left, only the sticker so you might try your luck in other store (probably I'll head down to Brimbank Target to grab one of these). Also they had a few Virgin Huawei E153 mobile broadband pack for sale at $9.83 as well (the $29 pack), not sure how many gb of data we'd get with this one though (I bought one of these, read all the info and even open the package but could not find it any where).

    Tried a few stores in Melbourne for the $9.83 voda one with the iTunes voucher… no luck :(

      the prepaid data expires after 30days but otherwise the modem should still work for a bit longer :)

    it's effectively $4.83 for the telstra modem as $30 starter kits are still $10 at auspost

    Still had some of the Vodafone bundles at Glendale (Newcastle) this morning. I picked up 3 of them and another 3 left on the shelf. They are marked as $32.83 but scan at $9.83.
