I've been using the DFO website for the past few years - I've bought a number of laptops from there (well, not anymore - thanks to the goverment making it harder to salary sacrifice laptops, my work no longer allows it).
Anyway - I've found the cheaper laptops (< $1000) aren't all that good value - well, they're still good, but you can find similar laptops at a similar price in the stores.
However, it's the more expensive laptops where you'll find the bargains, and they sell out FAST (i.e. within an hour or two from being listed).
i.e. I've picked up a couple of laptops for $1,600 - which, when you visit Dell's main website and look for the same spec machine, goes for around $3000. So you can get the higher end machines for around half price. :)
If you have Firefox, install the UpdateScanner add-on and point it to the Dell outlet page. It will check every few hours for you and alert you if there is an update…
