I didn't want the massive S3, so the mini is perfect.
$250.25 is the cheapest I could find anywhere that didn't have huge postage or a 5 week wait.
Don't know the expiry date, may be the everyday price.

FYI: No NextG for this one - good for Optus though.
I thought the minis were a pretty average phone?

Checked the spec, the Mini has spec even worse than S2:
CPU: Dual core 1Ghz vs Dual Core 1.2Ghz
Camera: 5MP vs 8MP, front Cam 0.3MP VS 2MP, video 720p vs 1080p
same RAM
smaller screen 4" vs 4.3", same resolution
Better bluetooth: v4.0 vs v.3.0
Is it called Galaxy S3 Mini only because it looks like the S3 or did I miss something?
you cant just compare dual core by just looking at how many Ghz it is. Nexus 10 is a dual core with only 1.7Ghz. that doesnt make it slow

so maybe s2 is better
Guess you figured out but last time I checked (which I probably never did) they're both A9. No way mini is using A15 like the nexus 10
Comparing phones simply by their hardware is like comparing cars by their engines.
The S3 mini is native to Jellybean leaving less space for bugs.
The S2's upgrade to 4.1 will most likely be it's last official update, whereas the S3 mini will most likely kick in to 4.2 and another.

Unfortunately crazysales do not appear (as far as I can see) tell you if its the 8gb of 16gb version.. If it's the 16gb version then I'd say not bad, 8gb, not so nice.
