Does it come with two girls?

      • +2

        Well played sir

  • Other than a retail shop… or Americans, who would spend $150 on jerky?

    • +2

i shudder to think how much sodium is in $150's worth

      • +4

If it makes you feel any better, it's worth bearing in mind that salt was once used as a form of currency…therefore, you're probably getting your money's worth right there! :p

Aldi is having a sale on Biltong, $4.99 for 100g - saves spending $150 for some jerky.

    • Really? what day?

      • +2

        Today! :)

  • mmmm…. mystery meat? isn't that just Biltong? :D

not sure if I could survive 2kg of Beef jerky…..

Got given a dehydrator for my birthday - now I can make ~300g of different flavoured jerky for $10-$15, ye ye

    • Yeah, me too.

      • +2 here, better to wait for next sale of dehydrators on Aldi, $30-$40 for a basic/starter model

    • Sweet! Any recommendations on a dehydrator?
      That's something I didn't know I actually wanted, but now I do!

  • too much jerky

  • +3

Damn, I've been waiting for another deal on jerky. Wasn't expecting a 'buy 12 months worth, get a special gift' type of deal though.
    Pass on this.

REP - any chance of a deal on a lower quantity?

    • Yea we're planning on doing a lot more deals, I'll definitely take the request into consideration for the next big one.

      • +2

As you can see, a lot of OzB'ers; myself included; are wary of 'mystery' deals, as many of us have been stung by them in the past…best practice around here is to clearly enumerate the value added gift's worth to minimise speculation.

        • +2

Makes sense, thanks Stew. What we're doing here is adding $50 worth of extra stock to your parcel. So just as an example if you bought hot products we'll add in some more hot stuff that you didn't order.

  • Whats the RDI on Jerky?

  • +2

positive vote from me. I've yet to try any jerky of any sort at all in my lifetime ! and of course I'll think about the next deal if its more round $5 delivered. But a positive vote because store rep appears to be communicating well with the OzBargain Community

This is the entire Jim's Jerky team trying to figure out how to get Jerky to you for $5.

So after 26 minutes of discussion we have come up with the perfect solution. We'll give you free freight on the website for a week!!! So now you can order a 30g packet of Jerky for $5 and no freight charges!!!!

      • I think I will be tempted to make a purchase to try the product if shipping is free.. Will this apply if I get more than $5 worth?

        • Yes sir

        • I just ordered $170 worth…I can't resist Biltong, especially the fatty stuff (shame that was not available in chili). I also grabbed 2x 90gm Jerky Variety packs and a packet of Drywors (curiosity got the better of me).

Your site has managed to extract more money out of me than Coles and Woolies does in a fortnight! (terrible ozbargainer here - I didn't even do a $98 to utilise the free shipping, or just hit $150 to claim the mystery pack!)

HINT: I would the variety pack to contain some of the Honey Soy (maybe not only Honey Soy but it is one of the two flavours that is not in the variety pack)

Now i'm very tempted to buy some!!

    Stupid question..
Is there such thing as kangaroo jerky? My American brother wanted to know…

    • +1

      sshhh! Don't spoil the mystery.

    • +1

Hey Ashikk, yea there is such a thing, I've had Kangaroo Jerky several times. We don't make it though, the demand isn't high enough.

      • I'd buy it. But I understand your concerns with demand.

  • I would love some jerky, but I simply can't afford $150 worth :(

  • Hi JimsJerky,

I'm about to order 1KG of Safari and 1KG of Super Chilli, I'm wondering how much (g) and how the bonus stock will be split in this purchase?

    Cheers.

    • +1

Hey Karn, 1000g will cost you $75. So that's $150 all up. The bonus stock is an epic mystery but will be representative of the flavors and heat level in your order.

      • Great, I meant the weight of the extra stock but anyway, I have placed my order though. Look forward to trying it out.

  • +1

A mystery deal is not a bargain because there's no way of comparing it's worth with other sellers…

    • That is very true, but if you work on $45 per 500gm (jerky) you should expect to get at least 500gm worth of jerky. I'm hoping for this, or even better 700gm or Biltong. I'm a very bad Ozbarginer (see above)

  • +1

    Fantastic selection of meats.

    • Thanks Josephchi!!!!

  • +1

It sounds like my order arrived at my parents place this morning….can't wait until I get over there tomorrow to crack open the box!

    • +1

Opened my package today… The mystery pack I received included:
      -200g chilli Drywors
      -90g honey soy jerky
      -130g biltong
-3x 30g jerky (assorted flavours…including the requested "bloody chilli")
      -stubby holder

So in all just over 500gm of product and a great selection that will let me sample the whole range as well as a moment.

      Thanks Rep!
