Only with contracts do they come with 24 months warranty, if you read the Warranty policy (Well, with Virginmobile and Optus), the manufacturer has a 12 month warranty and the carrier will cover 24 months.
Ahh i see,cheers.
4050 mAh battery!
6.1"
phablet'y
Is that good or bad?
It's good but the screen size will be a massive drain on the battery so in real world terms battery life won't be spectacular.
Thank you T_double_U for the clarification.
No probs.
Seems like a pretty good phone. Battery life definitely wins here if it lasts as long as they claim it should
I'm interested but will wait for some Australian reviews. I want to know what the reception is like and if the connectivity really matches the specs.
Funny how the smaller the better used to be the rule with mobile phones and now it's the opposite.

That's because mobiles phones nowadays are also used as web browsing / gaming devices rather than just for texting and calling.
From what I saw of it @ CES 2013, its just as good as any good phone coming out atm. Very comparable to the Notes.
so who is just waiting for a mate here?
Looks decent enough, pretty snappy too : http://www.gsmarena.com/ces_2013_huawei_ascend_mate_d2_hands…
Huawei try to sell a $400+ phone, you must be kidding me. I rather buy an one year old Samsung or the recently price Dropped Nokia 920.
Note2 is 5.5". This Huawei is better or comparable to Samsung Galaxy Mega..
Even I think Samsung is crap but come on choosing Huawei over Samsung?? Not a bloody chance in my life.
I thought all Aussie stock phones came with 24 months warranty not 12 months?
