Also, the phones they will be unlocking for free are all old or simple phones, not modern ones. If anyone knows any good melbourne unlocking centres please reply with 'em (or message me)! :)

Hasn't opened yet - but if its DCT3 & DCT4 codes then you would be able to get those from people like www.unlockme.co.uk since at least 2005 [the first time I used them].

So this could be a super, not, bargain!

If its for BB5 and beyond then great - bring it on.

If you are thinking about unlocking, the above UK site is a very long standing and trustworthy site that will tell you what can and can't presently be done.

The unlockme site even has the software that Xavier will probably be using as a free download - DIY people. Nice to know X is giving away something that is free already - bargain!

    Cheers

    • So… "Xavier" normally sells something that is freely available information on the net. What a scam!

You have no idea what you are talking about so I suggest you stop the slander.

We have bought a series of flashing kits and unlocking devices, such as the furious gold, JAF box, SE Clip, Vygis Toolbox, smartkey and many many more.

Each unlocking box/device is a minimum $600-800 USD, then you have to pay for licenses to use the software, generally there are 3-4 pieces of software per box, each averaging around $400 USD. We also have purchased multiples of the same devices so we can do more than one phone at once, each is a new licence, box fee etc…

Then finally, for all phones that are remote IMEI calculated I have to pay $12USD per calculation.

Don't believe me then google the above devices and see for your self.

You should just be thankful that im doing it for free. These calculators that are freely available wont work 100% of the time either in fact these days they rarely will at all, which anyone here posting negative things about me and my business would know if they knew anything about what comprises a IMEI based unlock code.

Those of you who know a good thing when you see it and take advantage of the Nokia Happy Hour @ Xavier Mobile are most welcome.

Any of you trash talkers are not welcome, if I see an order from you I will delete it UNLESS you publicly apologize here for your slanderous comments of myself being a scammer.

  • I had a NOKIA N95 unlocked mobile, redeemed by my credit card points. I want to sell it.anyone interesting?

    • +1

      "Anyone interesting?"

      I'm interesting, lol

  • too bad they are in QLD..
anyone know any place in sydney to unlocking blackberry storm?

    • If you are willing to post your phone we can guarantee that it will be unlocked and reposted the same day we receive it. So if you express post it to us and include a return self addressed express post bag you should only have to go without for 2 and a bit days :)

NB. This priority service is usually $10 extra. But OzBargain is doing wonders for my business since my ads appeared on here so within the next hour a coupon code field will be added in and if the good people of OzBargain enter "speedforfree" you will be given the priority service at no additional cost.

This discount will stay valid until 1/3/2009

For details of the priority service please go here: http://www.xaviermobile.com/priority.php

  • Hmm..have to laugh given the front page shows a N96 being unlocked but you look on the 'what we can unlock' and the N ad E series aint listed,

    • We don't have an N96 on our main page, so what are you on about?

We show a Nokia N95 being Debranded… Is this what you mean? Debranding is very different to unlocking my laughing friend.

We do unlock the N series and E series, however its not on the site because were still testing the unlocking box we have for BB5 phones etc…

You know, xavier, your rather nasty replies here are a real turn-off. You already state that Ozbargains is doing wonders for you, so why not act a little more professionally instead of going off when someone says something minor about your 'business'?

    • When your name is the primary part of the business name and you are being slandered and mocked for offering freebies at cost to yourself of course I am not going to be happy.

Bottom line is, I am the cheapest unlocking business around, there is no where else on the internet or stores that you can unlock phones like the Blackberry Storm for example for only $20. Most places on the Internet are like $44 USD and stores in Australia are about $40 as well.

I treat my customers well and look after them, I am very good at what I do and it shows in my results, but I will not allow myself to be treated publicly like an idiot, fraud or a scammer by anyone when I am offering a free meal.

I agree with the nasty comment, you are giving free unlocking for promoting your work and not doing a favour to anyone. So be polite and sound reasonable.

I am yet to see a promoter give such threatening comments here such "Any of you trash talkers are not welcome, if I see an order from you I will delete it UNLESS you publicly apologize here for your slanderous comments of myself being a scammer."

    Thank you.

    • No where in that statement is there a threat against them. I am simply saying I will not provide services to people who want to publicly insult myself and my business.

  • Hi xavier, Are you able to unlock the Nokia 6500 Classic? As your site states only the 6500 and there are a number of 6500 model phones. Also what are the chances of bricking a phone using unlocking services?

    Cheers

    • Hi Cobalt,

All Nokias on the website at the moment are Free unlock for the hour, The classic is different to the standard 6500.

I can unlock the 6500 Classic for you for $20.00 as per our current promotion, it would be a cable unlock though so you would need to visit us or post it.

Posted orders by customers of OzBargain are entitled to free Priority Service Handling if you use the code "speedforfree" in the unlock order page.

      Thanks,

      Xavier.

  • ok so its after 1pm EDST - how do we get the free remote unlock? Is there a code - there dont seem to be any links on the website.

    • Just go to the unlock page, the fee is set to $0.00 for nokias at the moment.

      Xavier,

      • now i can see it. although you could probably specify which nokia's you can actually remote unlock! as i've tried two and neither can. disappointing.

        • Original Post:
"Xavier mobile are now doing free remote unlocking on all supported nokia phones"

Link to supported Nokias (same link as on the main page of xaviermobile.com):
          http://xaviermobile.com/nokia.php

          • @xaviermobile: Hang on, there was a problem some of the Nokias didn't switch over, fixed now. Promo is now running for an additional hour.

Sorry everyone. New end time is 2pm EST and 3pm EDST

            Xavier.

            • @xaviermobile: yep - first time i did it, it didn't work - this time it did..

fyi everyone - its DCT3 and DCT4 codes, which are available from software like what kevst posted. But if you have nfi about unlocking phones or just cant be bothered, then this is a good service.

also - of course you should have to pay something if someone else does the work for you. Its like going to a mechanic and paying for them to do a service on your car.. you can buy the parts and liquids yourself and do it yourself, but if you dont know how or cant be bothered - then you pay for the service! XavierMobile shouldn't have to justify the cost of the service to anyone - its their time involved!

  • I think some posts are unfairly critical. His prices are OK and what's wrong with free Nokia unlocking today? Good luck to him.

  • Hi All,

Just a reminder that the 'classic' versions are different to the standard ones available for unlocking

  • Hi Xavier,
Are you able to unlock a nokia model 1208 b(T-Mobile) phone? I couldn't find it on your list.
    Thanks.

  • I don't think Xavier has responded badly at all. I own a business myself and when things like this happen it's quite annoying.

    Here is the bottom line:

I have used Nokia DCT3 and DCT4 calculators before. Yes they were available for free and were made by random people who knew the algorithms to put the IMEI's through.

One big problem - you are given a set of 7 or more codes. You only have 5 tries to unlock and then you can't remote unlock ever again.

Second big problem - getting the software was difficult and at times quite scandalous on its own (sign ups had to be done or spyware even viruses were included)

So finally - for a proper unlock it's good value (free!)

I'd say people who did enough research could unlock a DCT3 or DCT4 phone by themselves but are you willing to go through the bulls*** and risks to do it??

Or just get it done for free! What kind of scam can that possibly be???

  • And if you forgot your Lock code, you can try Nemesis Service Suite. I recovered my lock code Nokia 6120 classic with that..
    that's the link (free) http://www.b-phreaks.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page_2

    here's the instructions:

it's fairly easy and fast. you will need the usb cable btw ;)

    my 1st post :D
