    Slik is a top manufacturer of tripods; it looks like that ebay model may not be an item of equivalent quality.

    Ted's do exaggerate their pricing, so 'half price' doesn't mean much in this context, but that is business-as-usual for so many stores.

        Take a look at their range.

        Every manufacturer caters to different price points. I have the Slik Pro 700 DX, and you could say I have an unnatural love for it; more than what one could consider 'normal' :)

        If you used it, maybe you'd feel the same passion :)
        Their range is wide, so you don't have to spend that much.

      Slik make cheap junk for people who buy dslr kits (with sweet UV filter!) from DSE.

      Buy once, buy properly.

    similar but maybe different brand thus different quality. slik also not the best but ok i think.
    not much descriptions dimension feature maximum height etc.

    to all aus local stores: you rip us with high prices why not put more infos at least?

  Can this hold a Canon 550D?

  The officeworks page says its rated for max of 320g. The 550D is around double that.

  I picked one up from QLD Garden city off the counter and paid $15 after I showed the store guys the price online. They price matched without needing a members card.

  Actually it's a Slik Mini II model also. The only differences I can see are black legs and flip tabs to lock the legs instead of rings requiring turning.
