April Terabyte Tuesday. $38 for 1.1TB of Usenet from NewsgroupDirect

50

It's Terabyte Tuesday again. Yes, it comes around every month but it's still a pretty good way to buy a block of usenet that has no time limits.

1 TB or up to 1.1 TB if you include headers for US$38.

Over 1668 Days of Retention
50 SSL-Encrypted Connections
No Expiration Date
No Monthly Fees

It expires 3 pm Wednesday the 10th Brisbane time. Adjust your own time so you don't miss out.

Have a good look through the discussions in the past. There is a wealth of great information and opinions.

My affiliate link is below. It won't cost you any extra but it will keep me in usenet blocks (which I always appreciate).

  • Usenet used to be soo good…RIP

    • I've always found multihosts a better service. $10 for 3months, cheapest you can get.

      • $10 for 3 months? What site is that?

        • most debrids are around that price

im using simply debrid [mod edit: trying to promote affiliate link in comments is not allowed]

    • totally agree! Retention can never withstand a dmca takedown.

  • The Throne of Games gets removed from Highwinds servers in less than 24 hours. Pathetic. It was better when only the elite knew about Usenet and the MAFIAA never bothered us.

    • It is after all the most pirated show on the Internet

      • Annoying but resourceful pirates will download from filelockers or Torrents so all these Usenet takedows do is make pirates despise capitalists even more.

  • +2

I've never understood what usenet was.

    • Looks like you won't have to bother learning what it's about either!
I experimented with it for a little while. It was good for getting some obscure documentaries, but other than that, I didn't like it.

  • How are these guys with DMCA takedowns?

    • I read they are a Highwinds reseller so popular material like the above mentioned Game will be wiped before you can download them. I have 2 Usenet accounts and both are for Highwinds resellers. I suspect they have a system that automatically takes down anything without human intervention.
