Need an air compressor to fill tyres, mattresses and other items?
Amazon has a Viair 00088 88P Portable Air Compressor for a price near enough to its lowest price, according to CamelCamelCamel price history.

It connects to a vehicle (with motor running) and sucks juice from the 12V battery.
It comes with various attachments to fill other items.

Read the helpful front-page review from J. Schaeffer on Amazon if you have troubles deciding between this or other models.

Anyway, shall we list the itemised pricing?

$61.12 air compressor
$20.93 delivery

$82.05 delivered

Bargain.

One minor let-down with this air compressor is you don't get a nice little soft storage case for it, but I'm sure that can be taken care of quite easily with a cheap bag.

Can something like this be found locally for this price?
Not that I know of.

Needed a new pump so I grabbed one of these. Nice find, they definitely sound like good value, and well reviewed on Amazon.

  • Doesn't ship to Aus? Can you suggest a shipping company?

      No export restrictions showing here.
Amazon sends this item direct to Oz.

      • I'll try again :)

I bought one of these recently, seems to work pretty well and comes in a nice carry bag, including coiled 5m hose.

    • more options are nice, cheers

I prefer the ebay one . Twin cylinder and 12month warranty from local supplier.

As the OP states Viair is not junk and has a good reputation, the ebay one appears to be a cheapy that may not last the distance ( I'd expect more than 12months from a pump).

A good one on ebay is for $42.90 delivered from Melbourne: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/370732442281?ssPageName=STRK:MEWA…

    Cheers
I bought one of these and also got a Slime which looks pretty interesting. I'll test both out and put the best one in the 4WD and the other one can sit in the boot of the sedan. I'm sick of those cheap air compressors that just don't do what you expect from them.

Thanks for mentioning additional options. Looks interesting.

  • Seems to be on sale again even cheaper. Anyone who's purchased got a review?

    • I noticed this too.
I have one and like it; I'm only missing a decent case for it.

Some of the other models mentioned by others here might be better; I have no experience with them but they look decent to me.
