  • good price

  • U could get it with this price if you in sydney, go up to captial square and match the price, that $49 shipping at shopping square really too much.

    • Will they pricematch excluding the postage?

      • dont be too greedy, this netbook is on $622 before christmas out the shops in the city(sydney). i just hate emailing back to those online stores if anything happens to what you purchased.

        • notebook should be covered by manufacturer warranty? anything goes wrong, u wont need to email back to the online store?

          • @llzzz: yeh, thats after the first 7 days of purchase. nothing against buying online, my point is if the price is not a big difference, you can go to a shop play around with it before you buy.

      • …edit…

I saw this in OW store as well, u know what to do!!

a decent product, considering HD and Memory are upgradable comparing to acer/asus offerings.

Shipping is way over-priced at $49 but not a bad deal nonetheless.

  • Would you guys buy this laptop or buy the HP MIni 1001 TU or even wait for the HP2140 to come out?

  • Morefun have this for $599 pickup in Sydney CBD. Not sure about the postage costs as they don't list them, but it's convenient if you're in the city.

    Edit: http://www.morefun.com.au/Product.aspx?Cid=2&Id=191

    • thats what im talking about, $599, now you can take this price up to other shops and get a price match, you might even get a better price or a cheaper ram upgrade.

  • Which should I get? this or the wind U100

    • If the 6-cell battery didn't cost $100, I'd say get it! Otherwise it has some stiff competition:

      $499: ALDI Akoya E1210, U100 clone, 3x2200ma-cells, 10.2”, 160GB HDD, 60day satisfaction guarantee
      $529: ASUS EEE 900HA, 4x2600ma-cells, 8.9”, 160GB HDD http://www.mln.com.au
      $589: MSI Wind U100, 6x2600ma-cells, 10.2” 120GB HDD http://www.tecscomputers.com.au/notebook.html
      $599: ASUS EEE 1000H, 6x2200ma-cells, 10.2”, 160GB HDD, http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/9750

ALDI, Officeworks and/or Harvey Norman have these for viewing. More cells=more battery life (the after purchase surprise is replacement 6 or 9 cell sell for ~ $100 on EBAY). Plenty of room for music, videos & games.

  • Can someone tell me where you can get the ALDI E1210 from. It keeps getting mentioned but there are none in the ACT region.

    • I guess the thing is, everywhere I looked ALDI Akoya E1210 is $599 rather than $499. Is there a bargain that I might have missed?

      • yeah i cant find them that price either :S

  • There are not Aldi stores in ACT or none of those computers in Aldi?

    • Sorry my error, there are none in the ALDI stores in the ACT.

      thanks
      Scott

  • Should i get black or white? rather white, but any of you guys had any issues with white netbooks looking gruby/dirty in white? any replys would be appreciated ;) deal almost over
