    The clearance one listed on this page is just 2.4GHz but will work fine for most old routers with detachable antennas.

    Edit: You probably mean something like this though I am guessing http://flingshot.com.au/products/d-link-access-point-media-b…

    You can roll your own though with one of the DIR-600's and the antenna bundle if you put DD-WRT on it.

    The Synology sale we ran a few weeks ago was our last stock at the old prices, there are still some people out there who have stock at the old prices but most of them have put prices up now as far as I am aware.

    One is 5400RPM the other is 7200RPM, it will only really make a difference though if you have a machine with USB3 and fairly good specs.

    Short answer yes with an if, long answer no with a but ;)

    The speed will only increase if your signal is weak, so basically if you are at the other end of the house the speed will be better, but it won't actually increase the potential speed as that is dictated by the router itself.

    My suggestion would be to get a better router and use the dir-600 (with or without an antenna) as a range extender.

    The best deal right now is the DIR-865L if you get that you will be covered for the next few years as that is the latest standard, so even though your current gear will not fully utilize it anything you buy in the next 6-9 months will most likely.

    Is your reasoning that if we have ever sold something cheaper that any discount from normal price that is not greater than that does not count as a sale? If that is your definition of sale cheapest ever, then I guess you are right, but it is not very realistic…

    We don't have anything in an ultrabook in that price range currently, the closest are the HP sleekbooks. Around the intel refresh you will see some clearance deals pop up though.
