  • Do they have fire extinguishers on sale too?

Wow. I'm not a fan of anything SONY after dozens of premature failures of so-called high-end products over the years but this seems like an exceptional deal. Distortion is "0.05% or less (at 1kHz, 4 ohms)" making it a better performer than many budget home amplifiers! I don't need one of these but I'm tempted to grab a couple even just for the cable kits :P

    Nice work OP! Cheers.

Considering it is 60wrms, this is like wiring up a piece of metal to take up space to do nothing special, as most head units these days are 50wrms..

you could probably power some super low power sub that you can't hear in the actual cabin..

this is purely imo opinion a good deal if you can lay off the amps for $40 a pop to get the wiring kit, then again what an 8 guage kit isn't anything too fancy..

Err what? Headunits are ~22WRMS in HIGHEND units. Most dodgy HU's from Super Cheap will only be ~15-18WRMS. Try getting your facts right please.

  • what decent sub in the budget range would you recommend to go with this amp?

    • You're not going to run much of a sub with this amp, it's 150W RMS when bridged just isn't enough.

Wiring kit bonus almost makes it worth it though if you wanted to run some decent splits up front.

      • You could probably run an efficient 8" or 10" in a small sealed box with this amp. I personally wouldn't though.

        • Dude you need more power for sealed sub, ported would be the way to go. And honestly 150W rms is more than enough to add some low end to your music, unless you just want to be a look at me I'm a douche at the traffics lights.

Nice one, just bought 2 of these. Was hard to pass up, as I needed a cable kit for my car anyway, and the amps will come in handy too, ski boat or car, haven't decided yet.

    Cable Kit Only = $89.00
    Cable Kit + Amp = $64.00 WIN!

    • I think the 4GA kits are selling for $89…

  • i ordered one 2 days ago. i have received it today without the cable kit. im going to return it tomorrow.

    • I just received mine as well with the same problem. Did you manage to return it with no hassles or get the cable kit?

      • Same thing happened with me. Called this morning and was told to come in-store and they will happily refund or give the bonus cable kit without any hassles. Great service by JB very happy :)

        • No 'great' service would be JB actually delivering the correct gear. I didn't get my wiring kit either…

        • Did you just call your closest store? I got same thing. Amp but no kit.

        • I emailed them this morning from here:

          http://www.jbhifi.com.au/contact-us/

Click: Where is my Consumer Electronics Order?

Enter in your details and you should receive contact soon. I had a phone call this morning from the original shop that sent out my order and was told that my wiring kit is on the way.

        • I have sent 2 emails now and still no contact. Starting to annoy me as I want to install… If only they had a contact number.

  • After some initial hassles, I finally was able to pick mine up at local store, but they still had no idea about the free bonus cable kit.

I spent 30mins in store on Wednesday explaining it to the staff, which then said I had to purchase it online in order to get the amp for $64 and the bonus wiring kit. I went home, purchased online, got a confirmation email… then waited. Thursday no email to say my items are ready (the staff member put 2 amps and 2 wiring kits aside for me in store already). Sent an email on Thursday late afternoon asking what is going on, they apologized via email on Friday and also sent me the email to confirm my items are ready for pickup.

Printed my receipt and went to the store. Showed my paperwork to the guy that put aside my items and got "oh I didn't think you ended up purchasing them, so I put them back on the shelf". Went to main desk and had to show my receipt again, as it did not mention on it anywhere about the 'bonus cable kit'. They checked up online (luckily it was still noted there).

Wow what a mess this was. I went to store Wednesday, was not allowed to purchase in-store for $64 and get the bonus cable kit (so I was told by staff). So came home and purchased it online so I was guaranteed the bonus cable kit. Got my order Friday only to be told there is no mention of the bonus cable kits on my receipt, in which they checked online and saw it was legit. They then had to undo my online purchase, then redo it in-store on their own system. SMH, I don't know why I couldn't have just done this on Wednesday whilst I was there for that whole reason.

None the less, I got my 2 amps and 2 bonus wiring kits, great deal OP, thanks for the post… but I'll be very cautious buying anything from JB HIFI again, especially online.

They don't seem to communicate very well between online and in-store, but in saying that, I was treated very well in-store by the staff, who made easy work of the miscommunication/error, so all in all I'm happy with the result.

    Again, thanks OP.

  • Ordered Online and picked it up from JB. Got the free wiring kit after pointing it out to the manager that it said it was included online.

    Now time for the install…
