Yep, theearth is a Rep for many stores, you can tell by looking at just a little bit over 500 posts of his on OZB.

      • -1

MrZ, don't just make statements without following them with facts (i.e. a link), otherwise no one will believe you.

        • Sorry, my bad, the $994 price is for the 6500 not the 6700.

        • the 6500 can be had cheaper too, i paid $960 6 months ago.

  • I have one on my wall. Looks great. Screen is very reflective, lucky I have a dark room.

    • +3

Don't lie, you just bought it to check yourself out in the reflection :P

    • Bruce Wayne that you¿

  • woooow* wish i see this a year ago

  • +1

Thats a very low price - best price I saw a few months ago when I was looking was around $1300 so thats a 30% drop in just a few months.

    • +6

      *23% drop

  • +2

Wish it was passive 3D :(

This is selling for $994 at the Good Guys, although I'm sure they would throw in free delivery to match Bing Lee.

Are you repetitive? You sound like it.

          :)

        • I'm with you eug. I'm getting a distinct feeling of deja vu.

    • are you sure? and are you sure its not the 6500, as this is the 6700?

      • It says: Model Number: 60PM6700 on TGG page linked above. Same model as description.

        • berger was responding to MrZ, not to theearth's link lol

        • correct!

Might put this one on the roof of my toilet! Will keep me warm in winter to!
    Dam 60inch full HD tele's under a grand… crazyness!

    • +1

I'll buy 5 and construct an "out house"

    • +1

Are you implying plasma heats up?

  • +1

Wow! Thanks have been waiting for this to fall below $1k.

  • how are the reviews?
Is this 3D that needs cinema glasses not $100 ones like Samsung?

    • +1

No plasma uses active 3d. LED uses passive.

  • Paid $1400 for this 2 months ago…
Had 5 year warranty though I think!

Paid $2500 for a 40" Samsung LCD back in 2008. Oh my, times have changed. Funny how things get cheaper and I am still poorer.

  • Now, where do I get the glasses from? Any cheap 3D glasses deals?

  • Bargain. I paid ~$1200 a few months ago for this and thought I did well then

  • +1

    That is seriously f…ing cheap!

  • Any generic glass options?

    • +1

DX et al. usually have generic shutter glasses, but IMHO supplying a 60" 3D TV with one set only is fairly serious douchebaggery from LG.

  • Is it normal to feel 60" envy with my Samsung 58"?

    • If it makes you feel any better, your Samsung probably has better picture quality. I've got a 55" Toshiba which I believe uses an LG panel and it struggles to display dark/black colours properly. I've compared it to my 40" Sammy that is a bout 4-5 yrs old.

      • You do realise that this set is plasma, right???

  • +1

Wish I could justify an extra TV now, maybe the 42" pana will have an accident :P

    • My 42 pana is a BIG upgrade from my 22 sammy. Yes, i was using a tv as big as a desktop monitor and paid $450 for it

  • +1

Hi OZBs, Your comments makes me almost buy anything posted here . Thanks for the comments and reviews … I'll wait for another tv post .

  • +1

    3D to 2D Conversion: Yes?

Is this a feature? What about 2D to 3D conversion?

  • bigger and better than that Changhong TV which is dodgy in so many ways, pay extra for quality!
