Tickets to moonlight cinema's alone are worth $15 + for me
after reading simber's experience - can I just join up and use the moonlight tickets only or do you have to hire something?
ie. cos you dont have to pay for the 1st month right?
If a DVD gets lost in the mail (i.e. they don't receive it), then they will suspect that you are keeping it. I've signed up with trials for Quickflix, Bigpond Movies, and a few others, never had any problem. Definitely just worth it for the movie tickets.
no cost its a trial…i just signed up with paypal
In the conditions its says they charge $3 (to prevent fraud) off your credit card but it is refunded
If you do not cancel the account prior to 1 month you will be automatically charged $19.99 or something like that…
If you want to cancel the account you have to call the number in the terms and conditions..it cannot be done via email or web
I have been a member for 12 months now. Have not had a problem. I thought i didn't recieve one dvd so i just e-mail them and let them know and no problems. (About a month later i found the DVD on the computer table, one of the kids stashed it there);)
However it sucks that you can only have the trial once. Do you guys know any other dvd rental sites that have free trails- i've done quickflix and bigpond so far.
Thanks! It wouldn't really be a trial if you could do the trial as many times as you want…and there also wouldn't be a company to give you the free trial because they'd be broke.
This is a pretty good deal, except that (in Adelaide) the Moonlight cinema is finished for this season in a couple of weeks - I'm assuming the tickets are only valid for this season.Webflix http://webflicks.com.au/user/homeNewUser2.php
V2Direct http://www.v2direct.com.au/index.aspx
DVD Direct http://www.dvddirect.net.au/catalog/index.phpThere are only 5 in OZ.
The best one I ever used was Blockbuster from the US. I was paying around $18 per month.
They would send me coupons for free rentals from Blockbuster stores so it would force you into stores where they sell movies, popcorn other stuff.
I would rent video games for free saving me $6 per rental.Maybe EzyDVD will do one soon.
They should have plenty of DVD's around.
The trial is not bad.
Its better when your a member as you can tell Quickflix your returning a DVD and they will send one out from your Queue.BE WARNED- I signed up when they were offering 13 weeks free of The Age newspaper (deal found here on Ozbargain http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/4096) and I am still a member some 6+ months later.
Did anyone get their free tickets yet ? I'm still waiting on them..Just wondering if you have to call to get them or something.
I just got mine and wrote an email to them asking when i would receive… hard to tell if my email was the prompter or whether they are just a little slow in palming them out to you… wouldnt hurt to call or email something brief.
Wont vote a negative, but just thought everyone should know. I signed up for the 30 day trial back in July (08) and after cancelling (within 30 days) i kept receiving notification emails saying i have not returned a dvd (though i most definately have). They keep threatening to send a collector over or something, so yeah just thought people should be aware that they can still get money out of you from these free trials.
