Agree, good luck getting a 80" TV into your car
Pick up ?
sometimes, biggest is not best….lol…example, if your living room is small, don't think that you can get best viewing with a large screen due to the viweing diatnce required. The best viewing distance is proportionate to the tv size…
I bought a 60" (upgraded from a 40") and I had to push my sofa 1m back…Luckily, house is open-plan…
well thats pretty obvious..
Not everyone knows this…thinking that if they buy a bigger tv, the viewing size would be bigger…in reality, you would get a headache from the screen being "too close"…
You get used to it. I had a 50" at the end of my bed and it was too big at first but after a while it's fine.
I had a 32" computer monitor sitting an arms length from me.
too big or too close.
I suspect most people don't know that the biggest TVs have exactly the same resolution as the smallest (full-HD) TVs.
If you can't negotiate free delivery, you're doing ozbargain wrong.
providing and analysing bargain information and negotiating deals are two very different kettle of fish.
I'm glad instore pickup is free. ;)
Thanks OP. Picked up a couple for the kids.
0_o Why not make it a few and give me one?
Finally, a decent upgrade from my 79" tv
Don't knock an extra inch. Never know when it might come in handy!
… as the actress said to the bishop.
That's so cheap (if read as Taiwan Dollars)!
can you find a better price for this television?
These days, the image quality on a $3000 projector is phenomenal.
If a 10ml bottle of perfume that just smells like apple juice only ever costs $10,000 but someone posts it on here for $9000, is that really a bargain?
Is it a bargain only if you can't find it cheaper anywhere else? 8000$ is huge amount to spend on a TV. For 8000$ one can buy a 55" Samsung LED TVs, a blu-ray player, XBOX 360/PlayStation, IPAD/Tablet, latest smart phone, an ultrabook, a washing machine, dish washer, microwave, vacuum cleaner and still spare some cash :-)
$8000 and you only get one pair of 3D glasses?
Buy this and your significant other will probably leave you anyways!
Only $6000 more than the equivalent projector (TV screen is not quite as big, of course).
At that size, projector FTW! I've got 100" in my theatre room. Imagine the damn weight of an equiv screen?!
I've got 20" more and $6500~ more in my pocket…I get a

The site is down again, looks like the deal is too hot to handle for HN.
ROFL!! =))
LOL at review from "DAle" on jb site (http://is.gd/RvdJ5X)
"Had it for 2 weeks now and it's still kicking strong". It'd bloody want to be!
Getting close to 1mm = 1 pixel. Perhaps 1920x1080 is a (to) low resolution for this size screen?
4k looks pretty great at this size though ;) for probably quadruple the price!
2013 models are coming real soon trying to get rid of all old stock
8 grand?! Hahaha. I was in the US and these were selling for $3399 USD (after $1000 rebate). You can also get a 90" version in the US.
How much is the shipping to Oz?
Less than the $4600 difference in price.
That's reassuring.
Where do I go to order one?
Different power, different color system.. Does show how dear we as a country are… Tv's are so cheap over there.
you would be silly not to get this delivered, JB HIFI much better deal i would think.
