no, you have to spend 200

  • Purchase an ipad, split the payment 50% using 2 different registered AMEX cards, $100 back in your pocket.

    • exactly what im planning to do
Now must go to Melbourne :)

Wonder if you can layby on the phone … anyone

  • or buy the David Jones gift card and use it in any DJ stores.

true, but then your purchase isn't covered by the card's extended warranty, purchase protection insurance or best price guarantee :)

  • Very tempted to see if the gift card idea works. I couldn't find anything that actually excluded this.

I have a wedding to go to so a $200 gift card pressie might be a good idea.

Looking at the T&Cs, it looks like gift cards are ok.

    C. Eligible Transactions
    Only valid transactions made:
    • on your Registered Card;
    • after the date you register your Card; and
    • at the David Jones Highpoint Store
    are Eligible Transactions.

    Regards

I can confirm that this works as I believe AMEX only gets to see the transaction amount and the store and not the particulars of the item.
Have personally bought Coles and Myer (Via Target) and Rebel Sports Gift Cards before and worked like a charm.

Went in last night and got my $200 vouchers for my registered AmEx cards.

The centre itself looks nice with it's new section and reminds me overall as a hybrid of Chaddy, Westfield Doncaster and Knox. Been about 5 years since I was last there.

        Regards
        Daniel

These offers are almost always awesome. And perfect timing too, F1 here I come…

  • Also worth noting the current offer for the David Jones American Express Card. 30,000 Membership Rewards points or 22,500 Qantas Frequent Flyer points for new applications. Although, this comes with a $99 annual fee.
