Seems more like RRP, no offense rep not that great a deal.

  • Is this Australian stock with Australian Manufacturers Warranty?

    • Unfortunately no, its an international stock but it does come with warranty.

        not a deal is it.

  • HTC One is just around the corner and supercedes this device in almost every way.

    • That is true, but every new product should supercedes the previous product anyhow. Thats technology for you. :)

Yeah it does, but that would devalue the butterfly.. wouldn't you say? so if someone buys it now at your price it may drop in a couple of weeks when the One arrives especially if the rumours are true for a $750 price tag on the HTC one.

After the one releases something else just around the corner will supersede it, such as maybe the SGS4. With android no one ever holds the crown for more than a very brief time. Nexus 4 was the best phone for like 2 secs.

      • You are not understanding why i raised the point. The phone should get a price drop in a few weeks, especially after the HTC One launch.
They would not hold the butterflys price point at that premium for very long.

        • The butterfly was never given a mass release.. it's not even coming to Aust. So I don't think they have that much stock to clear. They will probably discontinue the line shortly.

You only mentioned that the new phone would supersede it, implying to me that you should get that phone instead. Now you're saying it's ok to buy this phone instead of the One if the price drops. I didn't get this from your original post.

Purely from my point of view, I would rather have a Butterfly than a One.

The difference in specs are negligible.

Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 (1.5ghz) vs Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 (1.7ghz). RAM is the same. Battery is slightly bigger on the One.

The biggest areas where the One loses for me is they removed one of the standard buttons, and most importantly, the Butterfly has a MicroSD card slot. With the One you have to pay for their overpriced internal memory, Apple style and you can't add to it.

      • the S2 held the crown for about 6-7 months, even 1 year if you count the SGN as a dud.

        • Didn't the Nexus release that year? Not sure if by SGN you meant Note or Nexus. Both phones were better than SGS2 imo.

  • Is it just me or does the HTC Butterfly seem old already…

  • Why pay iphone5 price for something that is already superseded?

    • Why pay iphone5 price for something that is already superseded?

Same reason people buy iPhones which are also superceded. They just want one or prefer it for whatever reason. I like the butterfly's GUI more than the ones and slightly bigger screen.

  • Expansys has it for $755 inc shipping and it is now is stock

    Edit: for the black one

Agree, expansys offers a better deal

      • Unless you want white..

IMO, neg is not warranted if the colour is different. Find a white one for that price and I can understand.

  • iirc you can get a htc one from amazon for around $650 in a previous deal
