I have been wearing a rimless pair I got from them for $40 in 2011, every day since then. Their service is good. I just ordered a similar replacement pair - for $34 delivered! Even if they're just a spare that's a good price.

  • Thanks, Sheik, for pointing out the latest special. I wonder though, Clearly Contacts seemed like a good deal at first, but then… the spam, oh the spam… Are they good enough to be worth tolerating the spam, and how hard will they spam me if I, heaven forbid, let them know my email address?!

    • You can always unsubscribe from the emails

  • Yep, I use them for my contacts, glasses, prescription sunnies, and just filtered their emails into a spam folder then unsubscribed.

Clearly contacts piss me off these days. They use to be cheap but then they lifted their prices by circa 20% per year over the last 3-4 years and now they are no longer cheap. Much better to buy from their US website at circa 50% less than Austalian website prices. I did an order for a lady at work last week and we found that their US websites were a whopping 60% cheaper than the Australian website. From memory, she was ordering Soflens Bifocals.

    • I call $34 delivered for complete glasses "cheap." You don't - what do you call cheap?

  • Thanks OP just picked up a pair of Christian Dior and Gant and have always been happy with Clearly Contacts. Great deal thanks again.

The Balenciaga 0063 7Q1 Horn are mirific, though I suspect everyone will gainsay my approbation.

It's great to see someone stocking frames that don't scream "WIDESCREEN TV". I just don't grok why people want to look the same as everyone else around them ??? Embrace individuality.

Too bad they don't have a provider anymore, which means you can't claim health insurance rebate for purchases from them.

    • For $34 delivered, who cares? I use my health cover to rebate all my contacts so I still get its value, and see if you can go to a local OPSM or Blink Optical and get a pair of rimless galsses with lenses for $34… you're better off buying these and using your rebate on something not as easily available online.

      • They might suit your needs, but they might not suit others' such as mine. I don't use contacts so I don't have anything else to spend my optical rebate on.

I'm well aware that OPSM charge a huge margin on their frames and lenses, hence why I don't buy my glasses from them. I've been getting my glasses from Specsavers since I haven't had any issue with their quality and I don't have to spend a cent out of pocket since my rebate + bonus covers them all. They don't have the biggest range of designer frames though, hence why I'd gladly shop online for glasses if I can find a place that has a provider number.

    • When did this change ? - used to work with AHM

  • Want two pairs of designer glasses for under $100, should have gone to OzBargain……………?
