Yeh mate the beer is good, especially with a slice of lemon. BCF up here in Darwin is pretty good and they have some great regular specials, esp. on fishing lures!

Too bad the beer tastes like stale water. Couldn't be bothered finishing a freebie, has next to no flavour and certainly not something I'd recommend.

A few people out there reckon its pretty good. I guess its more of a northern warm weather beer. Crisp, refreshing and not too heavy. Perfect for this time of year in the Top End.

tried this out the middle of qld , very similar to low grade dishwashing water , avoid at all cost unless you are a qlder , who know no better .
The negative review you quoted was the most recent one but I count 13 reviews at that link with 11 out of 13 recommending it with positive reviews.

I have had this beer and while its no little creatures, it's better than XXXX imho

i'm going to go against the grain here and say I quite like it. Its not going to win any awards for complexity and depth of flavour, but it is a nice refreshing summer beer. Not worth $47/carton by itself, but the BCF voucher is useful.
I bought two cases last year and used my $40 of BCF vouchers to get some cheap fishing equipment.

Web page says 0 cards left out of 18000. Deal has expired. As far as the taste goes, I read somewhere recently that VB is Australia's favourite beer again which means many people won't enjoy a mild drink like Great Northern. I do, but then I'm a Larger drinker.
