  • I was slow by a minute. Added a $10 lock but by the time I click checkout they had taken it off. Only crappy things left… got a bra stash thingy which I'll have to modify to make it a neck pouch. (looks like they've even taken off the bra thing now)

    • I had the lock and the beanie in my cart and now it keeps crashing when I try to checkout (I suppose it's because they took the stock off the site or it sold out). Bummer.

      • Yeah I used a different browser after that. U can delete cookies to make it work. Not that they have anything good left.

    all the items are gone,,,,i thought iwould wait considering how slow the website was loading but now nothing is under $20 ~~ i remember putting things in my basket only to be later seen with an error or redirected to main screen coz products was sold out ~~

    Got my order in this afternoon luckily. Told my GF to get some stuff too just now, all we got was a Scouts scarf and two badges haha. Better than nothing! I got some matches, an eating utensil and a bottle of washing stuff.

    so they are going to cancel all our orders!? or is this just for people who want to get the offer now. I hope that they will honour those that have already ordered, I wasted an hour of my time trying to sign up to their website.

    As per the terms and conditions on this voucher “one gift card per customer per household, must be a club member to redeem”, the first valid order that was placed by each customer/household will be fulfilled.

    All additional orders per club membership, multiple orders per household or multiple club memberships per customer/household will be cancelled.

    Please allow 10 working days for these orders to be delivered.

        • Hi rep, I ordered mine and asked to be sent to my office address, so If my other colleagues also ordered and delivered to same office address, then all orders to the same address will also be cancelled even though it's ordered by different person and membership club number?

          I called earlier today as due to the database errors and website issues, my voucher was not applied to my order. The lady answering the phone told me I would not be charged the $20 and I would be called back when the Customer Service team returned from a meeting. I have only placed one order for the household.

          Could you please confirm this is being actioned? It happened to at least one other reader in this thread.

      Could you please clarify if this offer is available to existing members too. I am a snowgum member for some years now and I am also a TheAge subscriber. BTW I too missed out as I was at work.

        Hi Spal, if you are already a Club member you can call customer service on 1800 811 312 and place an order over the phone. You will need your club member number and they will check that there hasnt already been a voucher used. Thanks

      I live in an apartment building (85+ apartments). I placed an order, but also alerted a couple of neighbours. I don't think I included my apartment no for privacy/ identity theft reasons. I know I placed the first order, so thought I would be OK, but one of my neighbours has now received their order (part only) from you. I haven't heard anything. Should I contact customer service, or just wait?

      • Not sure why the negs, a simple question for the rep. I haven't been on OzBargain long, but if a deal is worth sharing here why wouldn't you share it with friends? I guess my order is on its way, they must just be flat out.

        One voucher per household is more than fair, otherwise you get tossers like person above who gloats about using 9 vouchers to one household address.

    i just came back from a store with the voucher and it worked fine. So if we take the orig voucher from the age into the store im sure it will work. btw in store has better bargains!

    • Yes, no problem at all with an original voucher. Anyone is successful with a copy in the store? My sister printed it out from her Ipad as she subscribes digitally, but she is scared to claim it because she does not want to be red faced from refusal.

  • Have to admit, the ToS on household limit should be posted in the description but thats not the fault of the website but more with the OP. This would probably slow down those who just thought it was a coupon for unlimited household people.

    Still haven't received my beanie tho :( … and winter is coming.

    I don't think they realise how popular Ozbargain is and by doing this stunt of theirs, they have reduced their customer base quite significantly Australia wide

    Anyone that used the same voucher more than once per address deserved to have all their orders canceled. But if you did the right thing and only used it once per address and they still canceled it, I think we may be able to take it up with Fair Trading for misleading us. They clearly advertised it as one per address and we can either order it online or bring voucher to store to redeem. There is no terms and conditions in the advertisement that we must keep the voucher for verification to be able to buy online. Clearly they are not honouring what they advertised. Excuses such as no stock is not good enough. If no stock, why are we still able to order it online? They should take the item down from the website. They can also give us the opportunity to buy something else online instead of cancelling the entire order and that is it.

    • Yep exactly. I only ordered ONE item and it's to ONE address, no emails and nothing to confirm. I can only imagine the same generic reply I would be getting from SnowGum what others received that it has been cancelled, no point in wasting my time emailing them.

      Just gonna remove my + vote.

    Some of you have been asking questions about your orders placed on our online store with the Age voucher code. I will try to answer the questions below. But if you still have questions please feel free to respond to this post so everyone can see the answer or if it is about your personal order please call us on 1800 811 312 or email us [email protected].

    Orders placed on the 4th of March
    We received a much larger than expected response on our online store and we are still working to get all these orders processed, there are over 2/3 of the orders placed that were placed multiple times or outside the terms and conditions of the offer. Unfortunately this has made the sorting process much slower than expected and the people that followed the terms and conditions are now waiting longer than expected for their products to arrive.

    As per the terms and conditions on this voucher “one gift card per customer per household, must be a club member to redeem”, the first valid order that was placed by each customer/household will be fulfilled.
    All additional orders per club membership, multiple orders per household or multiple club memberships per customer/household will be cancelled.

    As of today, all orders placed that were invalid and had an extra payment made via credit card have had the extra payment value refunded to the nominated credit card.

    Orders placed with the second pin number
    Orders placed with the second pin number will not be accepted as the voucher was no longer available for use online at this time. All of these orders have been cancelled and we have refunded any money involved.

    If your order is still stating “Payment Accepted” then it is still in the processing queue and will be processed if valid and cancelled if found to be a multiple order as per terms above.

    If what you ordered is out of stock, where possible we will be offering you something else in replacement for these products, if there is no replacement product available then unfortunately we will have to cancel your order and refund any money involved.

    No status from Snowgum for 2 weeks; so i emailed them. i got a reply today stating "The Camelbak bottle you ordered is no longer in stock due to the high demand for this product. Your credit card has been refunded". I only ordered 1 product as per the terms and conditions. No offer of a replacement. No apology. Nothing.

    I'd be happy to wait for the item, but it seems that it's not even an option. While i appreciate it's a generous offer from Snowgum, if they're not willing to hold up their end of the bargain, what's the point in wasting everyone's time?

    Bad customer service. Very disappointed in Snowgum

    • I received the same email regarding the same product; seems like a generic email as it began with "Hi ," and was not addressed to me.

      You have to imagine that when they put up an offer with no minimum spend, they were bound to get slammed and are still dealing with the aftermath; it surely could not have done them any favours in terms of boosting profit.

      I kindly asked them to change their product statuses to out of stock if that was the real reason for their email (which they have done) and I identified something else that was about the same value, which they have said they will send in place of the bottle.

    • I got a refund. No email. No explanation. e-business FAIL.

    I can feel for the company as sadly there were too many people who took advantage of this promotion and ordered several times. It was the greediness of these people which ruined it.

    Expect to see less deals if people are going to exploit them.

      yeah, and a second pin which wasn't advertised but given to a customer was leaked on the net. Those orders weren't honoured (understandable) but tonns of people are complaining on the other thread.

    You're not 'entitled' to something just because you think you know how to exploit the system. Grow up.

    I put through an order for a multi tool and still haven't received it, but I'm not going to get all sore posting nasty remarks about the company on an open forum in a childish attempt to 'get back' at them.
