Seems like a good price for this camera. Major drop in price due to many reasons. Click link below which explains it all.

Seems like it. Even better price.

TOTAL PRICE (DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR) AU$351.95
I spoke too soon! :(
sorry dude.. wasnt sure.. how about this? lol http://buybuybox.com/?route=product/product&product_id=5334&…
Hmm, $287.04 plus free shipping to 2031. (Even cheaper if you like them on FB although not sure how that all works.) Might be a better deal.
You have to register with buybuybox, 'like them' then log into facebook from the buybuybox website and the camera is only $268 delivered.
Pretty good price I reckon.Anyone bought from buybuybox before ?
I am seriously thinking about clicking the Buy button…Be very, very, wary.
Check the TOLL tracking Numbers they list on their front page and follow a few for a few days and watch them dissapear without even leaving Hong Kong.
No contact details other than through their website (and also check their domain details)
the list goes on.
Would've been more enticing if it was $299 or less but not a bad price. I'd grab one without thinking if it was $200 even though I've already got a ton of cameras.
Not a bad camera and I know most people who are stepping up from point and shoot cameras like their zoom lenses (which this deal comes with) but I'd look at another system if you're into fast primes.
There are some cheaper listings on Ebay …
Examples
$286 - Hong Kong
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/100-BRAND-NEW-Nikon-1-V1-Kit-10-3…$293 - Australia.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nikon-1-V1-Kit-10-30mm-Black-Warr…Wow, $286. That's crazy. Better than the Pentaq Q bargain IMO.
I'm seeing it as £239.99 which is around $350? Anyway $286 from eBay seems like the better deal.
Good deal but it has its own mount as far as I can see. So, once you bought it you're locked to a bit limited choice of lenses.
You can get a mount adapter then can use the Nikon slr lens. BUT, after I mounted the adapter with the lens it got heavier and bigger than my slr lol
Yep I have a J1 and have a FT1 adaptor…..lots of fun but makes it all very big and unbalanced….not to mention the crippled auto focus.
If you don't need silly long lenses then save your money and avoid the FT1 adaptor. The 10mm and 18.5mm lenses are winners
$268 delivered from Buybuybox if you use Facebook- great price. I had a J1 that I lost, so going to replace it. Thanks!
Where would be a good place to buy a memory card for this?
amazon if already shopping overseas (select amazon.com as the seller to avoid fakes), or MSY locally (www.msy.com.au)
Wonder if JB hifi will price match this for under $300, just want to buy from shops here and get local warranty instead.
At less than $300, I'm tempted.
Though I will not do any facebook bribery or ebay.
Great deal on a run-out cam (B&H has no stock; amazon.co.uk has stock but for around AUD$400 delivered). If nothing else, the (by all accounts great) continuous autofocus should be a standout feature.
There's not really any bribery in buybuybox. You just have to log into Facebook through their page, then uncheck the boxes so they can't post to your timeline etc. I think it's worth it for a $20 discount, but that's just me.
Liking them for a discount? Bribery.
Facebook? For fools that don't value their privacy or know that they are being sold-out by faceless corporations. That's why you have a fake facebook account for these sorts of things… I would've thought all ozbargainers would've had one for all those freebies and what not posted on here.

That's great if their bribes are worth it for you; for me they're not and I have zero plans for a facebook account. You are being sold out to government and corporations in backroom deals. If you are OK with that, fine…collect your bribe.
Me? Nope.
what's the cheapest price for a flash for this?
Around $150 pretty much everywhere… I seriously don't know why they didn't include flash with this camera… probably the only spite I have with it.
If you're interseted in both this camera kit and the flash, it's $356.10 at DJ's.
Ordered mine on Saturday, and got it today from buybuybox. $267 was a pretty sweet price considering I didnt really want the flash anyway.
Got mine yesterday from there as well (3 days via fedex). So far I'm really happy with this camera. Definitely not worth the $800 they were asking for but at <$300 its quite the steal.
Is this the same? http://www.techrific.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=338…
