so tempting..
How does the gaming experience on this compare with the Sony PS Vita clones such as YinLiPS? Has anyone tried both?
a clever gadget! Wouldn't mind reading some reviews first though..
Can you install any android apps on this?Looks like a KIRF of the Wii-U's GamePad controller….
i had the older version 7100s which was pretty crap. Main drawbacks were single core processor and no shoulder buttons.
The 7300 has remedied these shortfalls. This is essentially a fully capable 7" Android tablet with extra buttons and controller for sweet retro gaming.
It's still a Chinese tablet though, so dont get your hopes up too much (e.g. battery life, build quality, squeaky buttons) and expect to be doing a fair bit of tweaking and rooting to make it work well.
IMHO I would prefer to have a brandname tablet with an extra game controller.
Hope this helps.
That pretty much sums it up.
There seem to be at least 2 custom roms for it that apparently fix up some of the shortfalls of the stock rom. The battery capacity and life are not mentioned on the Lightake site. Also it doesn't seem to mention the Play Store except that one of the screenshots has the icon (assuming not doctored).
Update: Play Store is included (little bit of a review here)
http://www.maxconsole.com/news/ANDROID/REVIEW--JXD-S7300-Gam…Might be an idea to check out a 'quality' product (I say that with no real knowledge of it except that Archos are a reputable brand)
http://www.archos.com/products/gamepad/index.html?country=au…Really bad reviews for the Archos however - mainly with Battery life, unstable software ("Hangs" a lot) and poor ergonomics:

I guess there is no silver bullet in any case.
mmm got this a week or 2 back for US$165 from Willgoo. Latest firmware makes a fine machine, particularly if you are running emulators. I didn't think I'd take up gaming again so much!
