going off other goflex desk models, I'd say no (except power point).
but suppose to have a configurable sleep timer.
Saw one in Melbourne (Swanston St). Not on sale :( but had power button on back in pic on box.
Looks big and I assume it came with a power button/adapter.
Some review seems to suggest that it's USB 2.0 out of the box. You need a GoFlex adapter to get the speed of USB 3.0. Can anyone confirm?
the box shows the USB3.0 adapter base and cable are inside the box.
as reference DSE Rockdale, NSW has these on clearance for $82. so this is cheap
Box Hill (vic) was about this price too (~Saturday).
Clarification: about $82
just got one, about 10 left. Thanks OP. don't know if we can use the receipt to price match at officeworks and another 5% off?
Nice hand OP.
Do not know whether other DSE can match this price?
Can you please scan a copy of your receipt? OW will price match
Just call around and ask other Dick Smith stores if they will price match
CODE to mention - XM 2189
Stores which have large amount of stocks, maybe more likely to price match
Ask if store transfer is OK with the discount price of $59 (haven't tried)
Officeworks VIC - Airport West has 20
no-where else in VIC. have the hard drive, as it's discontinued stock)
9338 9466 - call them and ask if they would price match
5% Discount - $59 = approx. $3 off
moonee ponds has them on the clearance table for $69
I got one of these quite some time back and its been a great drive. I use the eSATA go-flex adapter and run it as a boot drive (in addition to storage), works a treat :)
Theres heaps there at DSE Springvale. Not so many in the bargain bin, but on the shelves and behind the counter too. He said 3 year warranty. Requires power supply. Limit 2 per customer
Anyone knows the hdd spec inside of this box? Looks awesome if it comes with 7200r hdd.
Just bought two from other store. Have the case opened and the harddrive model is ST1500DM003 which should be 7200r and 64MB buff
wow great deal.i wish this was available in sydney.
Got one. Really cheap
Hows the failure rate these days on Seagate? I got badly burnt 2 to 4 years ago in 4 seagate drives in a row dying.. some failures were RMA stock after a few months dead.
Heard a lot about Seagate drives dying. I might be the lucky one. I've had 4 Seagate drives over the years and they are still going strong.
5400r hdd (thats what the sales guy said)
