If you don't mind a bit of waiting, can get it on Ebay for $2.88 delivered, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Magnetizer-Demagnetizer-Box-Screw….

In fact, it maybe a good idea to check Ebay pricing, after you see some of the "Free" stuff advised on Ozstock, most times you can find cheaper prices there.

    • yes i was going to say the same, you might even find an australian reseller selling cheaper than this deal on ebay if you want quicker shipping. i was looking at this last month but ended u getting a magnetised screwdriver cheaper on ebay, then i found them for 79c each at chicken feed/sams warehouse so thought that was really cheap

    • First thing I did was an eBay check. Did not find this one. Most were roughly $5 with $6 postage total $11. May need to check my ebay search settings on my iPhone.

Just updated the description to show the $2.88 Hong Kong option.

    • $2.38 - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Magnetizer-Demagnetizer-Screw… (But with my experiences with this seller, Banggood.com, I wouldn't buy from them, items ALWAYS take 1 month or longer to receive)

$2.62 - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Magnetizer-Demagnetizer-Box-Screw… (Same seller as the $2.88 one, BuyInCoins)

  • Jus gonna say I have dealt with ozstock a few times and not had any issues
can get some good deals with the half price shipping on additional items at times, esp if you look through a few days of their email deals

  • what a piece of rubbish. and you can get it at less than half that price on ebay.

you can get a magnet from any hardware store and it'll do the same thing.

you can even just rub a nail along the end of the screw or screwdriver and it'll magnetize it long enough to screw in

Or if you have: the time, the inclination and a spare microwave. There are a couple of pretty hefty sized magnets in them. Or an old failed hard drive, these ones re small but have a lot of power. I had one of these I just left on the screwdriver.

      • agreed. the magnets in failed harddrives are really good. you can also put them on the oil filters of your car, and it'll collect metal fragments in your oil system.

        the more you know…

    • You don't screw nails in :P

  • remagnitizer - use a lit match.

  • I think $7 is too much. Just order from o/s I ordered mine from Ali express and had in in 4 days.

  • Do you want a free screwdriver magnetizer???
Grab a short piece of wire (50cm or so), coil the middle of the wire around the metallic part of the screwdriver (about 5-10 coils) leaving you with at least 15cms on each end of the wire, connect one end of the wire onto the negative of a 12v battery, tap the other end on the positive 2 or 3 times, and presto, you have a magnetized tool!!!
I've only ever done this with a car battery, but it may work with other battery sizes too!!!
