Sound: HD (High Definition) Audio
I'd largely think it a gimmick, but someone might know how it compare (quality wise) to an external sound card. 3.5mm. Audiophiles?
Sadly my Android lacks drivers for the griffin "iMic card"; whilst I am unsure if 'OTG' might correct this by cheap future tablet designs.
I'd hazard a guess that's it's just a Realtek HD audio onboard sound card or something similar.
Ah well in such case not worth the asking price.
Also 1 mp, 768 x 1366 .. 'tis fairly old hat.
This level of hardware used to be called a netbook and cost $299 that's an expensive touchscreen
You're right on several fronts (CPU, GPU, RAM), but a netbook doesn't come with a detachable keyboard, touchscreen, 64 GB SSD (though some used to come with 16 or 32GB SSD), or an active digitizer pen.
Considering the cheapest iPad is around the $500 mark while a 10.1 branded Android tablet will set you back $300++ and the hardware in this tablet is probably slightly better, I would say that while this is still overpriced IMO, it's not massively overpriced.
I have one beef with the spec for this device (and other clover trail based devices) labeled as having an Intel HD4000, which is the integrated graphics for Ivy Bridge CPUs.
Low resolution kills this device imo.
Just got this with price match at office works. great tablet.
I wanted a tablet that could run full windows while also having a decent battery life. While this tablet does not game well, it makes a great internet surfing device with the advantages of being able to run legacy x86 applications. can get 8 hrs battery with the tablet by itself, and an extra 5-6 with the keyboard dock.
Similar tablets in this category cost $900, i got this for ~$630 (Office works price match + ING paywave in $99 increments)
Does it include the dock?
