Hey guys,
I found this offer and think its pretty cheap for the s2. Not as good as the current s3 but its still a bargain.
Be warned though buying refurbished/pre-owned products because they could be damaged in some way.
Cheapest i found brand new is here: http://www.iibuy.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-s2-i9100-16gb-un…

How is this a bargain price for a second hand, 2 year old, superseded, branded phone ?

    • +2

it isn't. if you're set on an s2, pay a little more and get it new from kogan

  • +3

    Not a deal.
Htc velocity only 200 brand new

  • It's a cheaper price than they usually sell for new but there are way better options for new phones at that price. Noteably, the HTC velocity 4G is a superior, faster phone with a higher resolution screen and it has 4G.

S4 coming out in 2 months time. Still a good phone but hopefully it will finally drive the price of this excellent phone down for good.

    • It was an excellent phone 2 yrs ago. For the price of $300,unless you are very brand loyal, there are much better phones out there (for $199, you can have a Velocity which comes with LTE 4G). That's the problem with having only one OS that is shared by so many hardware coys. The competition is so intensive.

Blasphemy …wow please edit out the bits about competition being bad ;)

Problem? What company do you own? The competition is fantastic for consumers.

      • (I understand I'm missing the point here a little, but anyway.. )

I'm very happy with my 2yr old S2 and still see it as an excellent device that covers all my needs.

The Mars rover 'Opportunity' has been roaming the red planet 9 years past it's 90 day mission.
This makes it an excellent device, regardless if the tech is old.

For me, that mostly determines the excellence of the product, the longevity.
I'll come back in another two years to say if the s2 has truly been excellent for me.

I would be doing myself a disservice (love this cliché) if I bought into this iPhone mentality of always having to have the latest fastest prettiest thing.

        • Yes, you're correct, you have missed the point.

        • sigh at least my comment added to the page

        • You think? Nobody is suggesting that the S2 is a piece of rubbish that should be disposed of, they're saying that at this price, only a fool would buy it.

So, as said by you, that's not the point in any way.

        • then you have missed my point

anyway, you only added your little stab because.. (really, have a think on it)

  • mines been repaired twice in 11 months..

    • consider getting a casemate toughcase for it?
      and a good screen protector?

I did, and my phone has lasted all sorts of crazy adventures without a scratch.

  • Samsung is benchmarking iPhone? A 1/2 year old flagship samsung phone was normally free on a $29, $30 plan now $50 plan for free. Not really cheaper than iPhone by much.

  • Just $100 less than a brand new N4? No deal. (Although the N4 doesn't have the cartoon colour screen.)

  • Definitely no for refurb

  • You must be kidding.

  • Nexus 4 (8/16gb) is $349 /399 AUD new. AND DOES NOT COME WITH TELCO CRAPWARE!!!

this is refurb. don't waste your time.

    • The Optus wording in the post turns me off.

  • $200 mark should be more reasonable.

    no deal

    • Yes, No deal.

  • What is it with EB and all this second hand gear they are flogging? They are becoming the modern-day Steptoe & Son!

  • wow, 300+ for an old phone, bought mine new for 250 a year ago! (corperate deal from telstra)

for this price id go a Razr V or something with similar specs for 250…

at 300 referb is just a ripoff, common, this is OZBargain!

  • definitely NOT a deal
