no, they are not insulated.
Not eaxctly insulated but they'll keep most coffees warm enough to drink for a good half hour. Tho usually the coffee has lost much of its profile in that time.

Not if you have a large cup and order a regular.
Find yourself a cafe with barista with atleast 1/8th a brain. The larger cups have lines/measures on the inside to allow a barista to easily determine the various cup sizes to allow a 'regular' (what is that, a bowel movement) in a large cup.
some cafes sell a keepcup + coffee for cheaper then this, and you can choose your own colours.
I bought mine for $10 for the small one including a coffee at circa parramatta.
Even better is when they forget to charge you for the cup ;)

Couldn't find it on the web, and if it's anything like the free 'karma cup' I got from the Vanessa Bus in Mt Buller, it doesn't really help insulate the head from your hands….
I've used one for almost 2 years now. Probably 1.5-2mm thick. It's warm with a latte in it, put tea into it and you'll need a insulator. On rare occasions the silicon band comes in handy when you go to one of them dodgy cafes that think takeaways needs to be servered twice the temp of a dine-in.
