  • Bought a 3m cable and then went to buy a 2m cable and got a page telling me that I'm not allowed to buy from this seller if I purchased 2 or more items from them in the past 10 days… which I haven't.

Grrr… I always have some kind of grief when buying from Shopping Square. Hah, hah!

    • I update the listing for 2m cable, Please try again

      • Just got that message. Am I able to buy 3?

  • +1

Not sure if it matters, but just keep in mind it is shipped from HK .. so may take some time to receive.

    • I just Updated the item location and Estimated arrival time as reference

i thought you said you updated them to show they are actually coming from china and not locally stocked?

ALL ITEMS ARE NOT LOCAL STOCK AND GET POSTED FROM CHINA my 5M cable from the same listing was posted from china as well as my 2M ones

Please contact me if you problem with your order.

How many do you have in stock in Aus right now? I bought one from you guys before and it clearly was not from Aus.

        • +1

all my cables were said to be locally stocked…… but all 5 of them were sent from china. ive already thrown out the packaging with the postmarks but if you want to refund me my original purchase price im happy to publicly give you my ebay details so you can confirm yourself they were all delivered from china and not dispatched locally.

        • Hi nosdan

I just sent a message to you on ozbargain to follow up your concern

          clearly states

Item location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

but my shopping square invoice # 61052684 was dispatched from china

          www.ebay.com.au/itm/221160781971

has now been changed from the same as above to "Item location: Warranty Service in Australia" where is this place called "warranty service" you refer to? some outback town ive never heard of?

you can see tho from my screencap from my ebay the item i bought (SS invoice # 61051075) again states the item location is local australian stock but was sent from china

i see you have been back to OzB yet not answered either my PM or my reply here….

          why am i not surprised….

  • Where's the deal? e.g. other 2m 1.4 HDMI cables on eBay go for $2.25 and shipped from Oz (e.g. Shopping Square one)

    • +1

the ones from shipping square (who is the one advertising this "deal") all come from china even tho they say they are local stocks. last 2 lots i got (from the 2x $10 paypal vouchers deal) both said aussie stock but were both sent from china. if it wasnt for getting them for free i would have put in a paypal dispute over it because "aussie stocked" has a value associated with it which shopping square are cashing in on

      • +6

Same thing happened with me with a recent shopping square HDMI cable purchase. Item location said NSW, but took a couple of weeks to arrive from HK/China instead. I didn't complain to the seller as the product was fine, but I did leave neutral feedback. It is unfair to sellers who correctly list the item location (whether it be Aus, or HK/China) and unfair on buyers who are expecting a quicker shipment believing it is coming from Aus. SS should have contacted these buyers and given them the choice of taking the overseas stock, or refund.

My comment above received a neg. Interesting. Someone enjoys being deceived by eBay sellers :)

    Pay for what you get!

Go for Monster Cables at Harvey Norman!! ;)

    • Not everyone will understand that this is a troll attempt. Please make it more clearer next time.

      • not trolling, just my attempt @ tongue 'n Cheek (pardon me)

EDIT: Oops! didn't meant to neg the Original Poster, Good price, good item, Cheers!

        • -1

pretty much a bad case of trolling then :) see all the commotion you have caused! lol

    • -1

      LOL!!

looks like Jimmy needs to research HDMI cables a little more
      e.g.
      http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20056502-1/why-all-hdmi-…

      • +5

Yep - people should actually understand what I am trying to say before negging. You don't pay for what you get with HDMI cables and Monster cables are a huge rip off. Don't vote if you don't understand.

        • Just looked at HN website….
They have 1m Monster cables for $149.
          Does anyone actually pay that??

        • And I think you've finally caught up with the joke.

        • Wow, I just saw it too, unbelievable. I thought I got ripped off when I needed a HDMI cable badly and bought a 1.8m cable from OfficeWorks for $18.

The description on the Harvey Norman website sounds like the biggest scam of all time, something about the best warranty ever? super duper monster warranty for life or something lol like wth?

      • looks like Jimmy needs to research

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Apa0nG1OfUc

people should actually understand what I am trying to say before negging.

people should actually learn what is and isnt a joke on OzB. anyway anyone stupid enough to spend $500 (wasnt it?) on monster HDMI cables wouldnt have the intelligence to hang out on OzB nore listen to any advice.

    • +4

Jimmy, your comment was obviously tongue in cheek to me, seems it was lost on others..

    • +1

HDMI signal quality is directly link to the price paid for the cable, even if its the same cable! MONSTER CABLES FOR LIFE!!

      /sarcasm…. :P

  • Hi Rep, any deal for Mini HDMI - normal HDMI cable?

  • Hi Rep, could we get a deal on Micro HDMI cables please?

  • Purchased. Thanks :)

  • Do these have ARC?

    • ARC is part of the 1.4 spec, so yes.

      • In a true 1.4 it would be, but I've found it's not always really 1.4.

  • Great deal, bought a 2m one. Cheers.

  • bought 3x 2m cables…yeah retailers are always rip off..

  • Thanks for the post…

just gone nut and got two of everything except for the 5m - only got one of those (just upgrade my Yamaha receiver so never enough hdmi cables), even got the mini hdmi one, the whole thing came in under $35 - less than one 3m I got from the Sony shop.

btw, the 2M said sold out, but I was still able to get 2 of those !!

  • What about the 10m HDMI cable?

  • I quite often connect a pc to my panny plasma with a 2 yrs old hdmi v1.2 cable, everytime when I turn on the PC the some free to air channels start screw up(not all), does it mean the hdmi cable isn't any good? Are these hdmi cable will make any different?

  • +1
