  • The 1 metre one is 2/3rd of the cost - also in a 3 pack.

Depends on use case, but they seem the exact same specs beyond that - might be better for some.

edit: Just saw the last line on OP's post covered this.

  • It's a shame they don't have an alternate pack with 3 more colours. If I'm making wishes I'd also want them labeled with their specs/capabilities.

  • +2

I've been using the longer version of these for a few years. Easy to recommend.

  • Anyone going to call out the specs? I believe they are hyped numbers if using DSC and lower Chroma subsampling. It's just HDMI 2.1 spec 4k120.

    • +4

HDMI has turned into a bit of a nightmare. It should be mandatory under the standard to clearly label on the package and the cable what HDMI spec it meets.

      • +3

They should've never started doing the decimal point versions.

This is the exact problem USB C and Bluetooth is having.

I doubt even the most tech savvy of us could tell the difference between Bluetooth 5.1 and 5.3, but you still feel bad buying something a version behind.

  • Are these only good for gaming?

    • They are good for anything

Do these support VRR? Some cables actually don’t, I recently found out this.

  • +2

I have the 3m ones hooked up to PS5 and Series X. No issues with them at all with a 4K TV with VRR. The different colours for the cable ends can be handy if I need to know what is what behind the TV since in my case I run the cable through the wall cavity to a mounted TV.

Nice. I like. Because. Is good.
