I thought it appropriate, until i read the description more fully. It's target audience is people who are interested in "slimming, toning and firming" - say whaaat??? My only experience with TENS machines thus far was as a mild form of pain relief for my wife while in labour. Not this brand/model of course, just one we hired from the hospital.

As she had it on high for pretty much the whole event, I'll let her know that she must have been feeling slimmed, toned and firmed at the time.

It continuously amazes me how some reps think its a good idea to post sarcastic comments such as this and think that going on the offensive will work. Be humble, explain how your product is superior if that's the case but do it in a mature way otherwise you come across as amateur and this directly reflects on the business you represent. Now maybe try this again… nicely.

There is a big difference between inferior models and well known trusted medical equipment such as HiDow Tens Devices.

Please see http://hidow.com.au/index.php/devices/xpo.html for more info :-)

    • I bought one from dealextreme and it was DOA. Never got around to returning that thing.

    • Had a few questions what the difference between this device and other cheaper models.

The answer is, there is not much comparison, as it is like comparing a push bike with a luxury vehicle.

This device is a TGA registered medical device.

The Hidow TENS machine is the latest in medical technology, it is also a EMS (Electronic Massage Stimulator) two products in one. It also has a patented acupuncture system in it, and it the preferred product used by the NRL here in Australia, and Olympians across the board.

Cheaper versions are not checked by the FDA or TGA, regarding the pulse rate per second, if they are not right they could harm the soft tissue. It is a patented, proven technology medical device.

We are not trying to "advertise" this product as it is already a well known product on the market and we only have 18 units left since yesterday. It has been listed as a bargain as it is $78 off RRP with free postage.

      Hope this helps

      • Neg revoked as rep has now removed the inappropriate comment and provided a mature response outlining the reason for the price difference between products.

I never really trusted Acupuncture Machines like these.
I know of an extremely famous and highly effective Chinese medicine practitioner, and he said these aren't as effective as the traditional method of needles.

Also you should be warned, incorrect usage of these devices can cause adverse effects…..

Anything to do with nerves, I'd leave it to the professionals. Not a DIY job….

Isn't this just a TENS unit? It's not acupuncture, there's no needles involved. It uses electronically charged stimulus pads attached to your… well, wherever you want!
And just about any pre-natal nurse/carer will recommend that you consider giving it a shot to help with any back pain related to pregnancy or for labour pains.
My wife used one, but didn't have enough effect to help her once in full labour.
Not sure about it's usage as an everyday pain reliever though.

    • LOL.
      It's not acupuncture.

  • Sorry guys, sold out
