  Not really that impressive. From time to time, Dick Smith have sales with similar prices - and they're brand new. I won't vote negative though, as I'm sure for a lot of people it's a good buy. I'd rather wait for the brand new ones at those prices though. :)

    My issue with the Dick Smith ones is they tend to be extremely hard to actually get the game you want. Many stores are pretty slack to and won't show the sale prices either.

      That's right Smigit. I have found you need to look up games on their website and make a note of the price and the stores where available. I bought quite alot of Wii games for $20 and under a while back and I don't think any of them had the sale price on them - they were all marked with the regular price but scanned at the sale price.

        Yeah I always make a point of knowing what I'm looking for before I go in.

        I don't really even "get" the motive behind the DSE sales to be honest. They put so many 360 games at $5 - $10 when really they would sell out just as fast if they were $20 or so besides a few launch titles like maybe Project Gotham 3. They do get people in stores I guess but so would a slightly higher price tag. Eludes me really although if you can get a copy of what you want I doubt the consumer will complain.

  I picked up a copy of LIPS from GAME today for $54 by taking advantage of this deal at EB. Bought 2 preowned games from EB for $26 each, and traded them + $2 for Lips.

  I got x360 vegas for $13 and gears of war classic near new for $19, both preowned. Good stuff if you can get the ones in good condition.

    Theres A LOT more games than what was listed above. Many good PS3 games there looking at page one of nine for the PS3. Don't know if the prices are all brillinat but there seems to be enough good stuff there.

  I just bought a preowned Xbox360 console from EB, worst mistake EVER! it didn't read games, it had RROD every five minutes.

  the preowned EB games I got were even worse.

  took the lot back and never going to EB again.

    if u bought the console, i believe they offered 12 months warranty.
    and to be detail, if u wanna have a look for xbox… find falcon (power supply 14.2A) or the new version (i doubt there's preowned though) Jasper (power supply 12.1A).
    I reckon if u got the 16.5A, all of them almost have RROD.

  JPOWER: I wouldn't do it. I bought one $248, it was a Zephyr. I originally had a Zephyr at launch, worked fine up til I got rid of it.

  Got the preowned, RROD almost straight away. Rebooted it was fine, wouldn't read any discs. Then it would read a handful of original games, no movie DVDs, no copied DVDR's. Then RROD's, guy in the store said preowned all have the same problems. That's why people send them in. They all get repaired, the original MS warranty is removed and the sticker is replaced with an EB sticker. Pull the faceplate off to confirm.

  I must have been the lucky one - I have close to 15 games now, with most of them from the Dick Smith sales ($5 - $15 each). And the funny thing is, I don't really play games… I haven't even turned on my Xbox 360 for over a month now. :(

  Either way, I'll wait for the next Dick Smith sale before I pick up some more, rather than getting 2nd hand games which may or may not work properly (can never tell with scratches).

  JPOWER…. it's not worth getting a 2nd hand unit. You can buy a brand new Arcade for - hmmm $230 to $260 during the sales, then just go to the MS webpage to order the 20Gb hard drive + 3 months Gold LIVE for $35.

  (Unless you want the 120Gb hard drive, which are still a rip off…)

        Not quite true… those "hacked" hard drives are basically the 20Gb shell, with a larger WD BEVS drive… and they basically install the firmware of a legit 120Gb drive on there. So it becomes a cheap 120Gb Xbox 360 hard drive.

        MS can check the serial of those hard drives, and they'd find a whole load of 120Gb drives with that same serial number (from the original cloned drive). So they could, if they wanted to, ban a console with one of those drives.

        They haven't yet, and they probably never will (most drives of Ebay are done like this apparently) - it'd cause a huge uproar from people who thought they bought legit drives off Ebay. :)

        But it's definitely something to be wary of. :)

  just checked it out, they had grand theft auto 5 for the ps3, 2nd hand, on sale for $84!!! what a bargain, i only got mine for $70 brand new when it came out!!!

  ps3 games are never on special. they did have bioshock for the pc for $45 and test drive unlimited for $10, so i grabbed them :)

  there is no GTAV, unless you've gone forward in time and purchased the game. perhaps you should take some initiative yourself and google yourself a clue ;>
