    It doesn't, it sucks tbh. I played it for a night and gave it to a friend as I had imported it. Probably was the final nail in THQ's coffin.

      Umm, no it was actually a very successful game, kept the nail out for a lot longer.
      Metacritic score of 84

      I suggest you watch some of the many YouTube clips of gameplay and see what you think.

    Imagine those games with three times the explosions, three times the violence, three times the silliness and three times the fun.

    I love both those games dearly, I think they're great, deep and engaging games but Saints Row 3 is in a whole stupid world of it's own. The comparison to those other games is like placing a circus clown amongst a group of semi-serious actors.

    Also, you can play the entire game co-op. I've never had a more engaging experience with a game.

    GTA IV and as a whole the GTA series pins itself as a serious open world sandbox game that lets the player do whatever they want but there is a sense of realistic in all the situations happen. Like in GTA you may have to play a few hours of the game before you get access to like a rocket launcher or a really fast car.

    Saints Row 3 gives you that type of crap from the start to play with (you rob a US army base and play with UAVs in the third mission). Both games are the same genre (open world, sandbox, third person) but they are really different, in that the GTA series focuses on story and characters while Saints Row just focuses on fun and gameplay. The early Saints Row games are GTA clones but number three is all about 'stuff that crap, lets get crazy'.

    If you find the idea of taking armies of SWAT teams on with just a purple dildo …funny, then get Saints Row 3.

    Also Michellanious one of the bigger nails in the THQ coffin was the uDraw Game tablet for Xbox 360 and Ps3 and not Saints Row 3 which did rather well for THQ shipping over 4 Million copies.

    Honestly for <$30, its good value for money. This is the complete game and all its DLC btw so your not paying extra for anything else.

  when i bought batman for $12 from HN, they didnt have ps3 version. the guy offered me this game. i said no.
