I don't have a Hoyts near me, but upvoted for reminding me to enter my Coke Unleashed codes for the week :)

  • ah man my points expired…

    • Same, screw that.

    • Just logged in and I have 0 points.. guess mine also expired :( how long are they supposed to last?

      • Not sure, I stopped adding points since my SMS's stopped working for some reason. Really annoying.

    • Points expire if you haven't entered a new token within 90 days, or haven't bought from the shop within 90 days. So if you add a token code a week, they won't expire.

      • Hmm, never knew that.. I must've cut it fine a few times there!
I don't drink Coke often. Most of my tokens have come from other people!
Picked up a few Ticketek Vouchers and now these for effectively free, so it's been worth the small time outlay!

        • +5

The Ticketek vouchers were the best offer they have had yet.

        • How many tokens for how much was it? I figure the phone offer was the best - 1000 tokens for a phone worth $400ish (at the time) - though if you tried to sell it you'd probably have gotten $300-$350.

        • ticketek voucher promo was fantastic, since then there has been nothing worthwhile. Got 550 points and nothing to spend, might use them all on these Hoyts tickets.

  • Just got 6 tickets. Hopefully some better stuff comes along shortly. Got 3k worth of points

    • +1

I've got 1.5k worth of points.. I don't mind using them on this tbh :P I got 4 tickets :)

      • I'm sitting on 3k points too - do I get 30 of these, or wait… hmm. If only they put out more electronic stuff, or like reduce the PS3's to 2-3k tokens each.

        • I've got 5k, no mobile at the end of last year :( ended up buying one with cash. should i get the PS3? i already have xbox360 lol

movie ticket looks good but i rarely watch it.

        • +3

I would seriously not get the PS3, as it is horribly under-valued. These old models can be had for around the $200 level. 200 / 550 bottles = 36 cents reward per bottle of coke. If we value each ticket at hoyts at a low $10, and that 5500 tokens would get you 57 movie tickets, 570 / 550 bottles = 1.03 dollars reward per bottle of coke. Even if they released a decent phone at 5500 tokens, you could sell that phone at 400 or so dollars, buy the older model PS3, and then have money left over.

  • got 4 tix.. thanks OP

  • This is awesome!! Thanks OP.

  • Have some 1,500 points, but no 3D upgrade available makes it kind of sucky (Hoyts that is, not the deal).

  • It'd be good if the site actually loaded.

    • i can't get Chrome to work with it, but IE works fine

As far as the deal is concerned, i'd rather not show hoyts any further business due to personal reasons, but if this was greater union/event, i'd be all over it.

    • After entering your details and clicking to log in.
You ought to be able to just go to the address bar and press enter.
Works for me, otherwise I just get a perpetual spinning circle.
      Using Chrome

  • Didn't know points expired. I have about 1100 points and just bought two tickets. I'll burn the rest to get at least 10 I guess.

As an FYI, it says tickets will take 6-8 weeks to arrive in your mailbox (you have to enter in an address for them to mail it to you). I hope they are smart and realise that I have at least 10 of them and put the tickets all in one envelope.

    Regards
    Daniel

points expiring is a worry, considering a ps3 is 6000 points which is 60 weeks worth of point collecting!

    • Points only expire if there is no activity on the account for three months. So even if you just enter one code every three months the points are maintained.

    • -4

      60 weeks x 10 bottles a week x 16 packets of sugar = 9600 packets of sugar + a free ps3 + free type 2 diabetes = BARGAIN!

      • +7

Coke Zero for me (and the occasional grab a mates bottle who doesn't care about the competition).

That means zero sugar but cancer instead. :-)

    • And there's no guarantee that there will be enough stock to satisfy all the demand for this item.

  • They actually email the code to you. despite what they say in T&C.

    • Excellent. I was worried I had to wait 6-8 weeks. Did you get the email yet? I have just ordered 12 of them.

      Daniel

      • I did last time. Event sent them by snail mail but hoyts sends them via email.

      • +1

I got an email from Coke to say i've redeemed points but nothing re my tickets

  • Stupidly I thought that the 'Unleashed' promo would've finished a long time ago… so I stopped entering them after I got some free movie passes a year ago!

  • +5

I guess I will be the first to say '@$#$@ you guys drink a lot of coke'

    • +2

Mum works at a cafe/bakery, she just gets them from customers who leave them at work :)

  • +1

Annoying that you don't get points on can slabs - thats all I buy now days, I would have had a buttload by now.. guess I'll burn up my last 900 points on some tickets.

Lucky mine hasn't expired, I don't remember entering any codes for ages

    • You do get one code in the 24 can pack. It's on the cardboard divider that sit's in between the 12 cans on top & the other 12 cans on the bottom.

      • I've never noticed that before. Will have to look for it now. Thanks for the heads up.

      • There was no code on the divider in my latest slab.

  • +1

"Sold without the prior written consent of Hoyts Corporation Pty Ltd."

    Wait, what?

    • Means they've bought them and using them as prizes. Its not a joint venture between the 2 companies.

  • I have about ~6500 points between two accounts. It's a shame I don't really go to the movies I think I'll just keep saving points…

  • Same as everyone else I had given up on these. This is pretty good though, pity my points expired also.

    Thanks scorpionsa

  • These companies really don't care about your health do they! Shame on them!

  • Thanks! I got two! (don't have very many points in my account anyway)

  • I only buy 1.25 2 and cans… does any of these qualify?

    • The 1.25L bottles do.

  • +1

I drink 10 cans of coke a day anyway so this is great

  • -5

got 11 :) see if i can flog em off for 10-12$ at uni campus in 6-8 weeks… long wait for them…

    • +1

      there's one in every broden

wait, that makes no sense - but you get what i mean ;)

  • +1

First time in a long time they've had something (attainable) that's worth getting.

  • I had 1500 points but now expired, thanks Coke!

    • When this happened to me, I wrote to them and customer service re-instated them.
Then when I added a new code the expired points also came back <conjecture>but this is probably automatic based on a short period of time since expiry</conjecture>.

  • Is there a limit to how many codes u can enter in a week/month? I haven't got any tokens but wouldn't mind getting started haha!

    • +1

10 codes per week, each worth 10 tokens.

      • 10 codes per week, but some (rare) codes are worth more than 10 tokens.

    • .

  • +2

Had two parties this weekend, just rounded up all the coke bottles from out the back yard, 15 bottles. Time to get entering.

  • Appears to be all over now!

    • +2

Yeah. This was a great deal and I'm glad I managed to snag 12 tickets. I now only have 10 points left but it was definitely worth it.

My wife no longer comments on why I waste my time saving those bottle wrappers now. :-)

      Priceless.

      Daniel

      • Lol'd at this one - but yes I always get dirty dirty looks from my friends when I do this.

  • +1

Tickets just arrived! I ordered 6, and they all came together in one envelope. Also, this is a complimentary guest pass, so be careful because it is not valid for all session times - just saying.. My friend wanted to watch Django last night and rocked up with a complimentary pass and it was refused. You have to make sure that the movie session allows 'free or complimentary' tickets.

  • I got my tix in the post today too :)

  • Tickets came - yay! Can't be upgraded to any 3D sessions - not so yay!

These tickets do have a lot of limiting conditions, can't complain for free - but don't expect to rock up and use them for any session.
