As a bike rider, I do think my life is worth more than $80. If i thought this was the best rear safety light around it would be a bargain. Do I think it is as good as a high powered LED light - NO. Though, good LED lights can also be expensive, and again my life is worth it. I just don't see a deal here - I do see a reasonably cool gadget.
Uncool it's uncool
I'd be surprised if our ever sold 1 at that price

reoccurring? These type of belts are great, i have the Exelite.
If you are after this kind of thing the Exelite are on clearance at Torpedo 7 (just another option)…..http://www.torpedo7.com.au/shop/bike/lights---reflectors/hig…
I would add, the Halobelt has the benefit of red being available.
thanks for sharing man. i been after a belt like this and halo was all i knew of cos its got hipster status lol! who's gonna know the difference when im shooting past on my fixie xD
If people can tell you're riding a fixie, they can tell if it's a halo or not ;)
How long before something like this is available on meritline for 50c?
scam price imo
you post a deal like this with a domain name like that!
I guess I will be the first to mention it….Dat @ss.
You mean what @ss?
You beat me :)
You know the price is bad when you think it must be a misprint.
is it at least water resistant?
"Button" batteries(CR2025) is a fail IMHO. How long do they last?you can buy LED dog collars for $3.10 on ebay. a couple of them connected to together….
its nice, but i dont ride bikes ;p
If you are jogging or walking, reflective/led ankle bands are the best thing.
For general use, a vest. $11 from DX:

Has no one ever hear of 3M reflective tape?? You could nearly buy a whole roll of 3M tape that does ecaxtly the same thing as this…
How does rubbish like this get a start on kickstarter, but biometric and USB password keys cant even make 10% of their cost to get them to happen.

$4.50 a metre… There is a lot of 1 metre lengths in $80… and this stuff is awesome at night. Standard fitment to almost all clothes worn on mine sites… and you dont need batteries to run it…
Does it come in blue, red and green?
you can get it in silver (the best and most reflective at night) but you can also buy it in white, blue, yellow and orange.
Google "3M Scotchlite" it comes in so many different variations…
$10 worth of LED, $70 worth of packaging.. What a rip off
It's a belt with LED's…. How is it worth $80+?
I love in the video how the guy on the bike rides past someone who has a clip on LED light on his backpack that does the same thing but would have cost less than $10.
