Not sure how many people are after the GH3 but given how good the specs are I can assume there are a few eager fans like me out there!

This is the cheapest price I've seen considering it has an RRP of $1300. Note this is only a pre-order and will deliver around 28th Feb :(

I also picked up the Panasonic DMW-FL360LE External Flash for the DMC-GH3 is $292.00 which is the cheapest price I could find (this also appears to be in stock!) http://www.digidirect.com.au/accessories/camera_chargers/pan…

Note the battery grip and other associated accessories are quite cheap too!

  • How does it compare to the GH2?

    • I am just wondering a bit why are people so exited about GH3. To me Olympus E-M5 still seems like a better camera with it's built-in image stabilization. I've been told that GH3 should be much better for video work than the E-M5, but I'm not quite sure why.

  • I Have a GF3 and a set of lenses (micro 4/3s) would my lenses be ok with the GH3?

    • it will work, it uses the micro 4/3 lens standard.

  • +1

Better video than E-M5. If olympus pulled their heads out of their bottom and provided 25/50p for PAL countries (like aus), then it would be better all round.

GH3 is much more robust than GH2, bigger, heavier, many more features. Has 1080p at 50/60fps. Pic quality is improved but not sure that its massively so. Believe that the E-M5 scores better slightly on noise and dynamic range. IF you only shoot home movies I would buy the E-M5.

  • The panasonic Gh3 has the best reviews. Digidirect has not got this in stock until 28 Feb but official Australian release date was yesterday jan 24. The only Australian online store I could find this in was below for 1377 aud.
