I already thought of all that, and tried all that.
It seems that once one inputs ones AU address one is charged for delivery. Which makes sense, as this item does NOT have the "Free Shipping Worldwide" notation.
The sales page also says 'Free Shipping Worldwide'
BUT as soon as I change to AUD, even if I go straight back to USD, that free shipping worldwide image goes away … all a bit 'odd' really.

I got nervous about all of the bad reviews on this place, woke up at 2am and rang up and cancelled my order. Need to find another good deal on the black edition.

I'd rather get a bundle deal from digitalrev for the silver Ed, comes with handle bar mount and 16gb Mem card, for same price as this. Just saying :)
The Silver and Black are totally different though.
Personally I would buy a black from GPS City, going to cost $45 more than Scuba.com but you get FedEx insured shipping and they have a known reputation. They have had them in stock twice so far this year with next batch shipping on Friday.

Yeah, mine order showed this. It is also it is a bit suspect that they are selling the adventure / surf / motorsports editions even though I don't think they have been released yet. As per my post above I rang up and cancelled my order, when I log on, it shows up as cancelled.
Mine shows on hold too - not so fussed - if i get it - great - if i don't - no worries. And if they charge me and don't deliver - i'll just get my credit card company on the case

however, the biggest concern is that this camera seems to have plenty of issues.
I'm hoping its mainly software related and firmware updates will fix some of the issues that have cropped up so far
Apparently some updates were released 15th December.

I am really keen to buy one but will wait until there's a stable firmware I think.

Latest update - apparently they have 500 coming in on Feb 5 and a lot of those are already pre-ordered. They've assured me mine's in that and will ship on the 5th so if that's so then all good.
Got a pretty poor rate on my credit card, and with the fee's - cost me $393.36 so if it turns up for that - then i'll be pretty pleased :)
