The "free" electronic version via Zinio is the US version, the magazine offered by Spreets (Pacific Magazines) will be the Australian version.

FWIW, I used to be a subscriber and thought it was kinda the same magazine every month. YMMV.

Well yes, but I'm not gay.

    • ?

My understanding is that the prime target demographic, and indeed buyer, of the magazine is gay men. All those buff torso's, man.

That doesn't mean that (a) there's anything wrong with being gay, or (b) if you buy the magazine you are gay. Thought i'd spell that out, just in case.

Unless of course you're from Adelaide.

        • Hmm. Negged. Must have been the Adelaide joke.

Sadly you would be mistaken, it used to be an extremely popular mens magazine due to tackling all mens issues including health, diet, romance (given by 3 hot girls) advice etc etc. You are right that there are some body building / fitness magazines targeted at homosexual men but they are quite easy to see once you open them up as the outfits worn and the photo shoots / the way they look into the camera etc….

Mens Health on the other hand was trying to break into a field which was predominantly female driven. Not the hard core lifting / body building magazine market but more of a mens day to day magazine mainly around health and fitness but started to branch out towards fashion and cosmetics, health problems, divorce and relationship advice, looking after children etc etc.

        • 'My understanding' may well have been a misunderstanding.

Tell me more about the 3 hot girls.

  • @sparkles: is there free subscription available for AUS version?
