Sanitas Glass Diagnostic Scales $45 at HN (Plus Delivery or Store Pick up)

41

Hi all,

Just browsing HN's catalogue and came across this scale. Seems to retail for approx $99 at most other stores, and they have deemed it a 'special' price under terms and conditions. Anyone looking for a new bathroom and glass scale, this could be the one.

You can get similar priced scales at Harris Scarfe by Taylor which also includes Bio-Metrtic Impedence measurements of body fat %, water %, muscle mass as well by Taylor and other brands. Mostly in store but here's one they've advertised online. (albeit it's a WW one.) Most of the other scales they have are min 40% off in stores last I checked.

    • How accurate are the other features on these things anyway?

      • I had a set of diagnostic scales, they guess these metrics based on BMI (height vs weight), which is well known to be an innacurate measure of health. Better off getting a good scale that just does weight, the rest is rubbish. Harris Scarfe have a better range of scales, just picked up a glass weight-only scale for ~$25 on sale.

    • What's the comparison in accuracy, u reckon, between these two scales? I think the weight watchers ones look pretty high quality in person. Is Sanitas a better brand name or something? Disregarding the extra features of the WW one, what do people think the comparison is just for weight measurements?

  • Glass scales.

    How are they diagnostic?

If the glass breaks, you're too fat.

your pun is pounding on my brain

    • Guess its on a sliding scale

  • bought my scale at aldi for $20,
has all the same features, body fat % water % muscle %

    • I got one of those aldi ones for $14.95 I think it was, and it stopped working after 4 months. It started just randomly counting 0-200 on the screen until the battery died. I replaced teh battery a week later and it continued doing the same thing
